Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Bill Belichick is the most valuable human being to an organization in the entire history of sports. Unreal dominance in the most difficult sport to coach for 16 seasons, with no reason think it stops any time soon.

I was pulling for a Patriots / Cowboys match-up.
That'd be guaranteed record-breaking ratings.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
So the NFL puts 3 teams in LA and Las Vegas, the two places the crowd will be full of transplants, tourists, or gamblers who got tickets as benefits, everything except the fans who love their team the most in places like Oakland. It fits their fuck you pay us mentality perfectly. The one weekend their team plays @ Las Vegas just became an awesome vacation date for a lot of football fans scattered across the country

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
I'm hearing reports that the Patriots are projected to go 16-0.
That was news to me.
Even if they go 13-3, that's an amazing accomplishment for a team led by a 40 yr old quarterback

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Never understood the 19-0 talk (because of the defense) but yeah, that's not a "distraction" anymore.
Pats got punched in the mouth tonight. The meltdown started after the first 4 & 1 miss. Either kick the field goal or let Brady sneak. There's no other call there. And a miss was only going to give the a Chiefs confidence and that's exactly what happened. And while the defense never looked good tonight, they fell off a cliff once Hightower got hurt.

Hill and Hunt are as big as playmakers as any in the league.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
It's almost as if Tom Brady felt he had proved everything he had needed to prove already and quit caring this year. Regret picking him as my sole QB in one of my leagues if there could be more of these kind of games.
KC defense is legit.

KC defense is legit. No worries about TB. I also have him as my sole QB in my league. He'll do well the rest of the season. No team bounce back after a loss as well as the Pats. Gross threw up in my mouth saying that.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Yeah, he will. At least that's what I'm hoping. The only receivers he was comfortable with were Amendola who was knocked out for the comeback (probably literally) and Gronk who was effectively shut down after the touchdown was called back. There also seemed to be some apprehension in going back to him after he landed on his arm awkwardly. Cooks seems like he's getting there.
They were literally throwing the kitchen sink at the end. You know the Patriots offense is a mess when they throw three deep bombs in a row just to try and draw a penalty or hope something connects. Brady hasn't been that quarterback since 2007.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Jacksonville looks primed to win their division on the strength of their defense, even with Allen Robinson out for the year. Same with LA Rams.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread
Good start for the Bills, it was twice as lopsided as the score. But will wait till they play a real team. After years of doing the shitty NFL team move of overpaying for big names and trying to drafting sexy QB/WR/RB picks in Rd 1, they look to finally be doing the opposite by trading down in the draft this summer and trading away the sexy name Watkins for picks/players that could be as effective

Only two unbeaten teams left: Falcons and Chiefs. Pretty crazy how many unbeaten teams lost today.
