Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
I think the Packers are fully capable of beating Seattle, especially if the OL plays well like it did this week. We'll see how it plays out.

When Dez went out on the field last week, he was cheating. Thus, I will now refer to the Cowboys as "those cheating Cowboys".

Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
The Cowboys did it. And Carolina was about to tie Seattle until Cam threw that out to Kam.
If you can stop the run, you can beat Seattle. Their defense isn't anywhere near where it was last year.

Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
First, just a comment on the "controversial call" that hurt Dallas. After seeing the replay and knowing the rule, it was the right call. He double clutched the ball rolling through the catch, which by definition means he did not control the ball through the entire catch.
I'm not saying it's a good rule (the line does have to be drawn somewhere though), but the call was right based on the rule.
I'm not sure the Packers can beat Seattle with Rodgers hobbled. It will be a closer game than game one of the regular season though. Much will depend on if the OL can keep Seattle off Rodgers and no significant injuries further hurting Green Bay. I"ll say this, if Lacy out gains Lynch, the Packers will win.
Imagine what the Packers offense would be like if they had an elite TE...

In order of preference for remaining teams left.
1- Go Colts! 2- Go Packers! 3- Go Seahawks! 4- Pats can go fuck themselves!

Seattle's offense got exposed in the first half by not having a big play receiver and GB is playing out of their mind.

They're gonna have to throw it eventually and I'm not sure they can do it. Still, this game has gone from boring to potential greatness and you can't ask for more than that.

Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
So many questions for Green Bay: why would you take a slide after an interception when you had open field ahead of you to pick up yards AND use some time? How could you let that 2-point conversion to score? And not agreeing with a lot of coaching decisions. This game should have never gone to the overtime.

That was crazier than American Sniper making $100M over the weekend.

One of the craziest comebacks in playoff history. I think it is a bigger comeback then when Buffalo came back against Houston.

Re: 2014-2015 NFL Discussion Thread
The only coaching decision that pissed me off for the Packers was the 3 man rush on 3rd and 19. Seriously? Have we learned nothing from the past? The "conservative" kicking of field goals on the goal line is debatable, but this is Seattle you're playing against, I think it was the right call to not go for it on 4th down.
The rest is on the players not making plays that were there for the taking (among others, not holding onto the onside kick, allowing the fake field goal, allowing the 2 point conversion). And the coverage on winning TD in overtime was excellent. He was right there. The throw was just perfect.
Congrats to Seattle.
