The NL West might be the best league in baseball this year.

Valverde! No!
Hopefully for Tiger fans, this does not turn into another version of the 2009 Brad Lidge (perfect the last year, but the leader in blown saves the next).

Baseball is back. Good thing the Tigers recovered. Looks like another year for the Red Sox blowpen.

Great start by my Angels. Great Pitching, big inning, and I was there.
And Mo blows a save on opening day! Do I sense a theme here?

What a pitching duel we had tonight between Cain and Lee; a 11-inning game that was finished in 2.5 hours.

Braves is on a tear, especially their offense, after losing their first four games of the season.

Strange day today for Baseball. Phillip Humber pitches a perfect game despite being mediocre career. And the Red Sox blow a 9 run lead. This proves that anything can happen in baseball.

It's not like its a no hitter, A perfect game is still awesome. Only 21 times now. And in under 100 pitches, that hasn't happened in 13 years. And on a check swing, it was pretty crazy. Great for him.
That Red Sox loss is continuing my hatred towards Valentine. It's a shame too, Ortiz is batting like .420 right now.

Good for Humber. It's kind of cool that a guy like that can go out and pitch a perfect game, even if it was to Seattle.
Also, Rangers still own, even though they are probably going to lose their first game in 8 games in a hour from now. They finally lose their first road game. This proves that Verlander is a stopper, even to great teams like Texas.

9 games back of Rangers. its a long season sure but still. never good to be 9 games back at any point in the season.
Even if Pujols starts to turn it around its pretty clear the deal is going to bite them in the ass. There's no way he has more than four good years (including this one). He'll be an average to below average player for the last six years while being one of the highest-paid players. wow, this loss was hard to take. As for the Pujols things, the Rangers fans are noting how the A-rod deal did the same thing to them, having no payroll flexibility to get any more players. But for the Angels, even with the Pujols deal, we still have some flexibility cause we are a rich franchise. Also, the other problem is that Pujols is not accustomed to seeing these AL pitchers, so it's going to take some time, maybe even a year, to figure them out. The problem is the Angels now is our freakin bullpen that can not hold on to leads. We lost games we should not have. It's a long season, yes, but the front office needs to do something to fix this. Remember, the Angels went 6-14 during their World Series run.

The Red Sox are 8-10. Last year they were 7-11 at this point.

Indians are in first place. AL Central is the place to be. Might be able to win the division with 86 games.

Re: 2012 Major League Baseball Discussion
St. Louis has been playing like a world champion and is unlikely to need any miracle run to make the playoff this year. They even have a better run-differential than Rangers so far.
