Not sure why the Cavs would draft the same type of player they did last year or why they passed on Bol Bol at 30, but I’m sure everything will be fine once LeBron comes back again.

That would have been my choice too. He had better overall stats than Harden, had a better team record and at least got his team to the ECF.

Giannis was good, sure great even, but I think it was a year too soon for him. Statwise I don't think he was better than Davis in the past 3 seasons, and just playing on a better team doesn't warrant it for me. Generally I think the best player in the league period should win the MVP and LeBron doesn't have enough in that regard. This year there was little doubt for me Harden was the best player in the league.

They usually go with the Best Player on the Best Team. Westbrook and Durant were the exceptions. Even LeBron had to have the best record in 3 of his 4 winning seasons.

LeBron should have like 10, but I get it, its boring to award the same people every year. Unless you’re the Emmys.

Best player on best team is not a bad way of selection, but the Rockets play in a much tougher conference also...could they have gotten 8 more wins in the East? Not certain, but probable.

Kawhi chose the Clippers. Paul George traded to the Clippers as well holy shit.

OKC gets Gilgeous-Alexander, Galinari, five first round picks (only one of which is protected) and two pick swaps. Wow thats alot. But since the Clippers are essentially getting two of last years’ five best players they had to do it. OKC makes out like bandits in this though - George is great but that team is going nowhere. I wish Kawhi had picked Kevin Love.

I think everyone is like that. So even though the major markets can't bully people with an infinite salary cap like in baseball, they can still provide so many more opportunities leading to more money than they'll ever make in basketball. Even PG who actually made the commitment to the smaller team still wound up in LA.

As someone who lost LeBron twice, I'll tell you it'd be much worse without the title. :P

Good luck to Miami Heat fans if they land Westbrook. I'm sure that backcourt with Butler and Dion Waiters won't be volatile at all.

If Danny Green had come back I actually would've predicted the Raptors to be a 1st seed sleeper and a finals dark horse, but hurts to not be able to bring back the whole team minus Kawhi

The only way I could like Kawhi more right now is if he were on the Celtics. Instead I’ll settle with him completely fucking over the Lakers. Unless Davis can take it up a few more levels, I don’t see how they’re higher than a three seed and getting out of the West (barring injuries). And the Lakers mortgaged their entire future away to do it. :funny:
