Federer only won 2 more majors after Nadal's present age (lines up closely with 2009 US Open), so Nadal getting 4 more to set a new record, is still a lot. The next calendar year is his opportunity, I don't see the majors rolling in post-2015 French Open. Even getting 1 by a year from now (just the 2015 French, or 1 of Wimbledon/US Open/Aussie + finally losing at French) isn't enough IMO

No talk about the US Open yet?

Really glad Wozniacki pulled out the win today against Sharapova. Hope she can make it very far this time around now that she is back in quarterfinal play for a major in quite some time.

Glad Bouchard is gone. She had me worried for Serena. Now only Wozniacki I stills a schmidgen of fear.

Viva Serena!

Oldest #1 WTA player ever and for all times!

Wozniacki completed dominated yesterday. While I'm happy for Wozniacki and am rooting for her to win it all, I wished Errani did better than she did last night as I'm a fan of her as well but she was not on her game at all.

Federer dominated in 3 sets as expected.

Djokovic vs. Murray will be fun to watch tonight/

That was awesome and will go down as a classic if this is Federer's last major win

Entertainment wise it's too bad Monfils couldn't just have Tsonga's career

Though I'm happy for Wozniacki again, obviously not the way she wanted to win. Feel bad for Peng.

Federer match was very enjoyable last night.

Don't know what McIlroy was thinking letting her go.

yeah shes not Graf. From 1987-1996, Graf entered 36 major tournamnets. Of those 36, she went to 29 finals, of which she won 21. The times she didnt make it to the final she either went to the semis or quarters. And while you could argue that womens tennis wasnt as deep back then, the top players from that time were just as good if not better than what Serena has had to face.

Serena at the very least needs to tie Graf's mark and even then I wouldn't just give her the GOAT.

I agree that Serena is not the goat. I think she needs to get to 20 to have a solid argument mainly because of her longevity and age. She's 32 and #1. Also, that's what I was specifically referencing about the all times comment.

I was reading up Grafs wiki and didn't realize how good a player Sabatini was. Didn't get to see her much as I only started watching Tennis consistently in maybe 93 on.

I like Navratilova as an argument for goat. Her doubles titles is ridiculous or a record that just won't ever be broken. One of those untouchable ones. Yeah it was mostly her and Evert trading titles but that's simply because those two were just on a whole new level vs the rest of the tour at the time.

First final without Federer/Nadal/Djokovic since Aussie 2005 (Safan over Hewitt). Shit that's a long time

End of an era.

Can't believe Fed got crushed like that. It was there for the taking.

Serena's march to #19 continues!!

They showed a graphic where she was around 65% in Quarterfinal Slams, around 85% or so in both Semis and Finals. YURP!!!

Madison Keys played like Serena that first set popping Aces and big first serves but she couldn't keep up her confidence after losing that first set tie break. She put on a show in the 7th game which had like 7 match points that she defended. She was really going for broke most of that game.

Anyway, Serena faces Sharapova...her non-nemesis rival. I know some will say Sharapova must be Due to finally win but I doubt it. Serena still has the better everything against Sharapova but good for Maria making it to another GS Final.

It's really confusing why Bouchard is just doing terrible after the Australian Open. I want her great game from last year to come back (and to also have her hotness in more than just one round).
