Yep, a 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 victory by Venus.

Just a little impossible at Wimbledon.

How many errors would a three set match produce from the WS? 100?

They always play each other like shit. Also no 3rd set tie breaker.

So one of them will crush the other.

100 seems like a good bet, X.

That's pretty sensational stuff from Federer: 40 winners, only 6 unforced errors, won 80% of points on his 2nd serve, and no break point faced.

But he's lost it. Last year that would have been 41 winners and 5 unforced errors. Nadal has this tournament in the bag.

I think it's going to be a interesting final whatever happens, I mean obviously Fed vs Nadal would be a titanic showdown, but even if Safin somehow beats Federer... I'd be pissed scared if I was Rafa at that point. At least with Federer, he somewhat knows what he's getting from the last two years, but Safin is like a wild beast uncaged, especially if he's just coming off beating Federer.

I'm so pissed about this season's Wimbledon as I have seen maybe 5% or less of it. ESPN can't play it at night anymore apparently. The dumb tennis channel shows matches that are days old at night and sometimes boring as hell doubles matches. All the while, I'm missing the Williams sisters make a run for a class in the finals and I missed the chinese girl's game play. God, so sick. Maybe I can find some action on youtube. I still hope that both Venus and Serena lose in the semis so I don't jinx them by rooting for them.

I hate the NBC coverage because, aside from the championship days, it is NEVER live for us central timers. Pisses me off. I can never stop myself from just looking up the scores.

The Safin/Federer will probably be more competitive than the Nadal semi, but I'm not really seeing an upset in the making. The AO SF was referenced, but they played last year at Wimbledon and it was 6-1 6-4 7-6, so if Federer plays like he did against Ancic, and Safin the way he played against Lopez, I see much the same result.

FedNadal 3 on Centre Court seems like a good bet.

Check out ESPN360. That's where I saw the full replays.

And I'm going to skip work for half a day tomorrow since Zheng Jie will finally be on damn TV.

It upsets me that I have to watch the Serena semi on Quebec TSN if I want to watch it live.

Get ready for one ugly women's final.

At least tennis wise.

Dont know why you are happy about that. It's a guaranteed shitty final with 50 unforced errors from each.

Seriously, i HATE it when Venus and Serena play each other. They both suck, and Venus seems unable to bring out that killer instinct when she plays her sister.

Ugh, well Go Venus!

So proud of Zheng. That second set was sensational. Her ground strokes were as good as I've seen. The big difference is, expectedly, the serve. Serena simply served too well. Zheng would've had a fine chance even if Serena had her game off just a little. Definitely congrats to her.

That 6:5, 30:40 break chance was oh so close...The one opening Zheng had.

She did break Serena for 4-2 in the second, but couldn't consolidate it. Serena's serve was just too good and too much for Zheng to handle, but I do hope I see more of Zheng in the future, she does have a good backhand.

As for the final, I think Serena may take this, but I do prefer Venus.

Nadal is going to win the 3rd set 6-3.

And then destroy Federer.

it's been 5 years since their last finals match and Serena has 5-1 record against her big sis.
i think this time Venus will bring her A game. She wants that 5th Wimbledon title.
