Even in the traditional media this troll/emotional nonsense has been spilling over into . Very few are actually giving a genuine nod to how amazing this run has been for the Chiefs One thing you'll learn the longer the Chiefs run goes on is how not to give a shit about what the media says, even local media. I haven't listened to Boston sports radio since the mid-2000's and I haven't watched a debate type show in close to ten years. Its nonsense and it means even less.

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
That was a dismantling.
Mahomes - 21/32, 257yds, 3TD, 2INT
Has there ever been an instance in ANY game, let alone the Super Bowl, where the only reason the QB stat line looked this good was because of garbage time? He was stuck on 52 yards passing until there were what, five minutes left in the 3rd? If the Eagles don’t take their foot off the pedal they win 60-6.
And what’s wild is that I don’t think this game proves the Chiefs were frauds. No, the Eagles and their defense was just that special.
On a side note, I worked every Sunday this season and didn’t get a chance to hear Brady calling a game until tonight (and I just finished the game now and managed to stay mostly spoiler free). He’s about as bland and generic as you could possibly get and considering that’s how he was with the Pats, I’m not sure why FOX thought it’d be any different. He didn’t get loose and stop talking in platitudes until well into the 4th. He needs to learn to be way less stiff in the offseason.

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
The Eagles had a stacked team outside of quarterback where Hurts is still above average - best defense, best offensive line, best running back, multiple star receivers.
The Rams came pretty close to beating them - probably would've beat Washington and then had a good chance vs KC.

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
Mahomes two biggest legacy games were both blowouts. The first one against Brady in 2020/21 and then last night. Mahomes is still the king of this era. But he is more of a Steph Curry or LeBron than a Michael Jordan or Tom Brady

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
He is still looking good for 2nd best QB career of all time but Brady was unbelievable.

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
I think this puts him behind Montana. Montana never had a Super Bowl meltdown like that. Yes the oline is what lost him the game, but Mahomes didn’t rise up to the challenge

Re: NFL thread - 2024 season
His offensive line got killed in both his superbowl losses and maybe you can say that is a weakness for him that he can't handle it when it happens, though this year you can at least say he also had crap receivers compared to someone like Montana who had the by far best receiver ever, although in Bucs and Bengals losses Mahomes had stacked combo of Hill and prime Kelce. Still 3 superbowl wins and 5 appearances is still pretty amazing when compared to anyone but Brady, compared to a player like Rodgers who only made it once and there is a reason nobody has 3peated since these guys get beat up too much and it's single game elimination.

What will they do this off season after that beat down?
