She even put Boston Legal in quotes for us. That's worth another :mirrorbow:
I recommend this show to anybody that cares, and encourage any and all to discuss the show here. You guys will certainly give this thread more credibility than I ever could.

If you want to discuss this good show, I will throw out some starts?
- James Spader - How do you like him - especially compared to the end of the Practice, the beginning of this show and now?
- Shatner - same question as above?
- Candice Bergin?
- Any other characters or anything else you want to discuss?

This show is awesome! Betty White looks like she's now a regular cast member too. I almost spit out my water when she told Candice that she almost looks young when she (Betty) stands next to her. \:D/
Shatner and Spader were great as usual, and Denny's "drugs are just drugs, so take 'em if they make you feel better" speech was classic.
Next week's show looks like it's gonna be a funny one.

Like I said before, the show was sub-par in its first five or so episodes, but it has actually dramatically increased in quality as of lately.
James Spader is still just as great, Shatner's easier to take, Candice Bergen is great playing...Candice Bergen, and the writing has gotten a lot sharper. I loved tonight's "llllllllesbians."
Still needs a new theme song, though.

Oh God, betty white is now a regular cast member? I don't think I'll bother to watch the episode I have taped now.
What has happened to this show? It used to be kind of an oasis of bachelordom, with the Shatner, Valley and Alan Shore characters, and it's now being rapidly feminized into some sort of quasi golden girls.
But just out of curiousity, who was it that was fired a week ago? The ads said someone would be fired.

Sally was fired by Candice Bergen's character.

Good, she really didn't fit in. If the Bergen character is just on for an arc in which she creates some needed changes on the show, then I'll stop whining.

Great show. Allan shore is getting on my nerves a bit, but i seriougly agree that the show has gotten better. the first couple of episodes kind of sucked, and the theme song is too pornish.

I actually didn't watch the end of the practice, so I have no idea. I like both Spader and Shatner. As far as Candice Bergen goes, at first, I was a little confused about why they would add another high profile character, but her part isn't really that big, and she adds some much needed tension. Betty White is strictly comic relief. Monica Potter is the hottest of the women, with Betty White coming in a close second.

I maybe alone in this but the show hasnt improved one bit. Theres not one character I like in the show and they all come off egotistical. I know they are trying hard to make us like the characters and they kept emphasizing that Alan Shore is trying to help the underdog but has gone against the little guys quite a bit on the show. The show also suffers from trying to be funny but Im not sure if its David E Kelly's fault or just his influence. My problem is the characters do too much pausing whenever they give out any quotes, and then they stare at each other. You can sub those comedy laugh tracks in with their staring at each cued with funkadelic guitar riffs because that is what it is

Yeah I understand, in that Alan Shore has lost his help the little guys aspect that used to be the redeeming factor of his being such an obnoxious jerk. BUT the show has improved to me basically by them paying less attention to the cases so it becomes a moot point. And yes it's about half a comedy which to me is the best thing about it. The "Fox News" line at the end of this last episode was hilarious.
Anyway it's not a show I look forward to but I find it watchable now, which it wasn't at the start.
Thankfully they kept Ms Golden Girls to a small role, hopefully they'll get rid of her later.

I dont think the shows that funny at all. But what makes me hate it even more so than any other non funny shows is that the producers think that they are funny. An example would be their subliminal laugh track disguised as the client and lawyer making a slow head turn and stare at each other after a punchline quite. Its even queued with their music too and then follows it through with a cut scene. How many times is repeating the name Danny Crane supposed to make us laugh or Alan Shore making a lewd comment supposed to be be funny

BOSTON LEGAL is one of the few shows I watch every week, in addition to 24, LOST and NIP/TUCK. James Spader is brilliant...Alan Shore is the coolest character on any TV show, past or present. Shatner also does genius work and each episode is equally hilarious and dramatic.

I never even really heard about this show, but it was on after Desperate Housewives so I decided to watch it. I loved it! Definetely a show I'll be watching every week.

Very good episode. I still don't like Betty White being there, and I feel like they added her just to appeal to older women demographic and she's taking time that used to go to Monica Potter and Mark Valley who are much more interesting, but despite that it was a good episode.
The whole wedding trial was a bit from planet Pluto though, I hope that isn't possible in real life because it seemed outrageous that someone could sue over that. I liked Shore's summation at the end, he said some things that needed to be said. They've been giving him some subtle digs at the curent political climate almost every episode which is refreshing when you are living in a one party country. And Shatner's Crane does a good job of presenting the other side of the political fence in a funny way.

I lost interest in Boston Legal after its first 3 or so episodes.
However, I watch almost all of last night's episode (after really wanting to watch it due to great ads for the precursing weeks) and I was impressed. I remember hearing back how the writers and creators decided they were going down a route they didn't want to and so change it a bit.
Though I still don't see myself dedicatedly watching it, but it's good to know abc has another decent show (and might I add in recent weeks, a bit of a hit) on its shoulders.
I think adding Candice Bergen to the show really bumped it up a bit in the ratings and probably added some good writing too.

Last night was alright. I enjoyed it. Last week, I only saw the first half of the episode and prefered it to this one. Still good.
