Quite good for Bones. Justice deserves better as it's quite good.

Justice looks like it will be canned with the next few weeks although its not like its lead in Bones was having strong ratings either

I think the only reason Fox has kept Bones is because they think they need another X-Files.

Emily and David lacks the chemistry that Mulder and Scully had, not to mention at the time X-files premise is extremely fresh. Bones itself is just a rehash of CSI and NCIS. Theres no originality from the show to suggest that it will be a cult phenom if thats what Fox is thinking. I mean it doesnt have a following like X-files did. Even shows like Veronica Mars and Prison Break have a strong following which is why their shows are kept despite the ratings being just average

Right, but the constant comparisons to X-Files (at least in the beginning) has got to make Fox think it's going to be the new X-Files.

A suggestion here, maybe all these ratings threads should be stickied? The official schedule ones can be let loose now, as the seasons started.

Fox had better not can Justice yet. It is a far better show than Vanished. Can that first and move Justice to Monday after Prison Break. "You like the convicts. Now watch a show about the people who defend them."
Vanished sucks. The last episode was the only one thus far with halfway decent writing. Fox has even fired the lead actor and recast him with Eddie Cibrian (last year's "Invasion") starting from episode 7 on, if it even makes it that far.
In fact, Fox has mostly sucked with its new shows thus far this year:
Standoff was tired and boring.
Til' Death was horrid.
Happy Hour was, as expected, garbage.

The weird thing with Bones is that it performs decently enough to stay around, but I literally hear no one anywhere ever talk about it. It has zero buzz, it will not grow into a cult hit, it'll just exist for a few seasons then disappear with hardly anyone caring. Which is pretty odd for a Fox show considering how rabit the fanbase of X-Files, 24, Simpsons, Prison Break, Arrested Development, etc. were/are.
And NBC really jumped the gun with how many episodes of Fear Factor they ordered last season, they're been burning off new episodes since the start of the summer.

Bones was an enjoyable diversion last season but this season, frankly, has been rather awful thus far. The new boss is the source of most of the suckiness. Her constant arguments with Bones over every little thing quickly became annoying and I didn't even bother to finish watching last week's episode because I just didn't care. I could definitely see it being canceled this season, especially if it moves to Fridays later in the season like was originally planned.

Good for DwtS. I expect it to grow as the season progresses.
Meh for everything else (Except Bones, which held up well compared to House).

Jimmy was on the Howard Stern show yesterday, and I believe he said that it was a best-of clip show of his late night talk series.

I saw the Kimmel show, it was pretty funny, lots of celebrity clips and cameos like Ben Stiller and Matt Damon. I don't normally watch his late night talk show so it was all new to me.

Premiering Jericho with no lead-in against DwtS was a bad idea, so it's mediocre ratings aren't surprising. The Top Model premiere actually had better ratings than the previous season premiere, so clearly the "people don't know about the new network" excuse isn't going to have any effect on ratings.

 Re: 9/20 Ratings
Impressive for CBS. I doubt audiences will stick to Jericho, though.
Looks like NBC's "good news" streak is coming to an end. Tonight may be no better.
FOX is doing mediocre as usual.
Bring on "Lost", ABC!
Good start for the CW, but I was hoping the ratings would be higher for CW.

Also, The CW beat FOX among Adults 18-49. HA!
And those aren't TOO bad for Jericho. I mean, most people were expecting it to be the first cancelled, and it already beat Smith in total viewers.

Don't you DARE curse The Office like that!
At this point, none of the new FOX series will be around come January. They're all DOA.

Nothing would make me happier than to see The Office get 20 million viewers tonight. But realistically, Earl and The Office will underperform with below 10 million viewers, Deal or No Deal will be squashed by Grey's Anatomy and CSI, and ER will continue to decline, despite going head-to-head with Shark instead of Without a Trace.

Well, I guess I can hope NBC's rampant hyping of Pam/Jim as a Ross/Rachel event succeeds.

That's rather awful for Justice. What Fox show will be canned first? Justice, Vanished, or Happy Hour?
My bet is on Vanished because it's almost to the end of its initial episode order and Fox seems unlikely to order any additional ones with the terrible ratings it has been getting.

I say "Justice" is staying put till midseason, then it's gone.
"Vanished" likewise.
"Happy Hour" is coming up to the end of its hour.
