Thinking HTTD goes 100m+. I'll go with 108m.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
According to Global Box Office: Quote: Materialists domestic pre-sales are very promising and tracking to make $1.5M-$2M in previews for a possible $15M+ opening weekend, the biggest opening for @A24 since ‘Civil War’. That would be a big surprise and very impressive.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
It annoys me that this movie will probably open to double what a How To Train Your Dragon 4 would do. Why are people this way?

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
I didn't think Materialists looked that good but I'd be happy for any success in the genre.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
I checked a few theaters and it is selling pretty solidly for Thursday.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
89% RT for Materialists is nice but I feel like Celine Song is the type of hip right now director who critics would want to support, plus the 73 on MC is a bit worse.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
Early word on Materialists is good. If it does hit $15m - then it's going to end up with a solid gross.
I feel the same will happen with F1. Early word is strong. A solid opening could happen which may kick off a leggy run. Overseas will be a much better story off course. I expect its OS gross to triple the Us gross at minimum.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
Deadline: Quote: Domestic box office estimates for this week’s opening of the live-action adaptation of Universal/DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon are between $65 million-$75 million-plus at 4,000 theaters, and don’t be shocked if this beloved title overperforms.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
The Materialists is definitely going to do double digits. The showings I've checked are all pretty packed tonight.

 Re: June 13-15 Predictions
Two titles with final in them. Two live action remakes in the top 2. Weird patterns I noticed. *shrug*

It’s only weird if you make it weird. There’s one weekend when Greg kinniear starred in the top 2, or every Star Wars special edition was in the top ten.you can find weird shit on anything..
