Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Blinding Lights has now spent: 52 weeks Inside the top 10 (obviously a first ever and record shattering) 21 weeks Inside the top 3 (ties the current record) 43 weeks Inside the top 5 (there's no word to how much this is "record breaking" as the previous record holder was... 27 weeks.
Can we claim Blinding lights to be the biggest song of all times already?

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Flava’d Forecast: “Astronaut In The Ocean” by Masked Wolf will hit #1 in late april/early may and possibly be the song of the summer. It’s very catchy and you can just imagine the memes that will come along with that title. Plus its very short, just over two minutes, which means it can be easily remixed. The song is actually pretty old (2019) but has recently been rereleased ala “Truth Hurts” and “Cheerleader”.

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Up has a 69 (hehe) cents sale on itunes and is back in the #1 spot. I know that doesn’t affect tomorrow’s chart, where Drake will probably be #1 again, but maybe the week after!
Though, I must ask, who is still paying for individual songs? Pick a streaming service, they are all great.

Grats to Cardi for scoring her fourth number one. Only one of those was a debut too. Would love to see 34 + 35 scale up now and give Ari her sixth, but I feel like its momentum has mostly gone.

Boooooooo
At least we got one good song at #1 last week. It’s been a rough year at the top of the charts, though the rest of the top ten has been steady.

This week: 1. Lil Nas X “Montero (Call Me By Your Name) (debut) 2. Justin Bieber feat. Daniel Caesar and Giveon “Peaches” (down) 3. Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak) “Leave the Door Open” (flat) 4. Cardi B “Up” (down) 5. Olivia Rodrigo “Driver’s License” (down) 6. The Weeknd “Save Your Tears” (down) 7. Dua Lipa feat. Hopefully Montero flames out quick like WAP, it is not a song, it is a publicity stunt. It has no musical merit whatsoever.

If your song or video makes Candace Owens mad it's probably going #1

Wow! I know its just because of the video and the shoes, but still... None of us thought LNX would ever sniff the top spot again... Dude knows how to turn a song into a meme overnight.

Call Me By Your Name is a banger and the rollout for the song was perfect. I never thought he'd have a number one again.

Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Meh. I wish Taylor released a video for Mr. Perfectly Fine. I think it would have a chance next week, but probably not so much now.
Good to see Astronaut In The Ocean bumped up into the top ten. I'm already sick of the song, but I like it when I'm right about things.
