Re: December predictions
Richard Jewell's trailer really impressed me. As did 1917 and Bombshell. I think it's going to be a very good season with not too much genre crossing.
Cats on the other hand, the second trailer was terrible. Why they chose to not show the singing and just the awkward character exchanges was a bad decision.

Re: December predictions
I have no interest in musicals but I always underestimate them. Hence why Cats should clear $100m.
Richard Jewell should find an audience because it looks good and apparently is good. Plus there is a fanbase for Eastwood films.

Surely Spies in Disguise can at least double Ferdinand?

Re: December predictions
Why can't 1917 be a real breakout like 150 mil+? Good reviews, cinematic experience, WWI is more fresh than WWII

Not all that excited with this one though.

Re: December predictions
It seems to me Spies in Disguise has more action scenes and human interactions than Ferdinand. It may appeal to a broader audience.

Also, Ferdinand was great and based off a very popular children's book.

Re: December predictions
I just think Spies in Disguise will appeal to a larger segment of the audience, with nothing to do with how good the movies are/will be.

Re: December predictions
Playmobil tickets will be just $5 at AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. Still won't save this abysmal dumpster fire.

I spent a minute trying to figure out what NBA player Marcus Smart had to do with Playmobil

Re: December predictions
Was just randomly looking at Greatest Showman's run... holy shit ehat a crazy run! It hardly had a drop over 20% for awhile Jesus!
Cats probably will open bigger than Showman and benefit from the holiday but idk. If it does over 120m it'll be because audiences are enjoying it.

Re: December predictions
Oof, normally I don't think you're too far off. But I just don't see a world in which the final SW/Skywalker film barely gets to $500 mil.
