Last Christmas
Quote: Last Christmas is a 2019 romantic comedy film directed by Paul Feig and written by Bryony Kimmings and Emma Thompson, who co-wrote the story with her husband, Greg Wise. It stars Emilia Clarke as a cynical Christmas store worker who keeps running into an overly-cheerful man (Henry Golding) and begins to fall for him; Thompson and Michelle Yeoh also star.
The film is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2019 in the United States and Canada, on November 15, 2019 in the United Kingdom by Universal Pictures. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised Clarke and Golding's chemistry but criticized the screenplay and clichés.

Re: Last Christmas
Emilia Clarke is really good but the film falls flat when the "twist" of Tom not actually being there was revealed. Totally doesn't work.

Re: Last Christmas
This was dull and mostly ridiculous, which is a shame because Emilia Clarke is effortlessly charming. A huge waste of pretty much everyone involved.

Re: Last Christmas
Emilia Clarke deserves a better movie career.
This was better than I'd anticipated, though.

Re: Last Christmas
Just caught this last weekend on tv, of course it was on during Christmas month, and it's surprisingly good. Emilia Clarke is surprisingly too, I feel I don't like her much, but maybe all of that stems from the terrible Terminator Genisys, as I think she's been good in other roles actually and is here too. Golding is charming also and the supporting cast is nice too, and the soundtrack is a winner. The first half of the film is especially nice, just in the second half it gets a bit schmaltzy and generic bringing this down from what could be a really good Christmas film. Still plenty of good things in this.
