Wonder Park looks so blah. I can't imagine it doing more than low teens.

Not sure if Cole Sprouse can generate movie tickets but I guess we'll see.

Wonder Park - 12
Five Feet Apart - 12
Captive State - a little

Just saw a Captive State TV spot and it's different than what I remember from the trailer. They're definitely targeting the black demo now. Everything's all "let's get 'em dawg" instead of what I remember being a cool looking sci-fi movie.

I think Captain Marvel drops 60%. I think WOM is just okay, and there seems to have been significant rush for it. The only thing helping it avoid that IMO is lack of a big opener.

No way WOM (I’m talking true WOM) is good enough to withstand a steep drop. I am predicting mid $60s.

Wonder Park is poorly reviewed. Too bad, it looked cute for what it is.

I've randomly asked people what they thought of Captain Marvel after their shows. Two people were meh on it. Around 10 liked it. Five loved it. WOM will be better than people realize. Supporting this is the continued increase in RT audience score and IMDB score after it's initial scores, which usually trend down, not up, as time goes on. Whether it's reflected in box office remains to be seen. Any drop under 60% is fine, if it's drop is less than 55% that would be very good considering the size of the opening.

Yeah CM is going to hold really well, but Wonder Park possible opening to $20M+ is a pretty big surprise IMO. I know I went high for it in the Spring Contest, but I had little to no faith in it after seeing so little marketing for it and of course the terrible reviews. I never saw any marketing for Captive State and Five Feet Apart either.

$18-19M Friday for Captain Marvel. Should get close to $70M weekend with that.

The first THG with $18.6m Friday (with a much lower Thursday) did $58m second weekend. Yes CM will skew more families still $70m is not yet locked with that number.

I knew Five Feet Apart would do 10m+. Cole Sprouse's Riverdale fans showed up, he has a big following online.
