Definitely some wasted potential with this one. Gerard Butler and Peter Mullan give really solid performances as does the kid who is with them and I enjoyed the set-up/build-up, but its a film that becomes less uninteresting the more it goes on and the ending was just really underwhelming IMO.

I loved this. Gerard Butler is really great in this and while I wanted a little more from the ending its still satisfying. Peter Mullan and Connor Swindles are equally great in here. The setup is amazing and haunting but I felt it didn't fully utilize it fully to depict the descent into madness. As for the ending I would have expected it to go a little more sinister specially after Butler's action with Donald. This still a great movie because its a simple story told well with the help of great performances.
