Re: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald predictions
One grip I am having is the overreaction over Nagni being human. I am perfectly fine with it, but people are trying to call her racist. And say there is no diversity in the Harry Potter Universe (which isn't true you have several major secondary characters who are minorities Kingsley Shacklebolt, Lee Jordan, Dean Thomas, etc) However, England is 87% white if it was too diverse it woulnd't be reality. There is more diversity in Harry Potter than Game of Thrones, and I don't hear anyone calling George Martin a racist.

I'm not a fan of these but is this perhaps one of the most dour looking blockbusters aimed at families (?) to be released in a long time? It just seems so unexciting and relying solely on the Potter fandom.

The first Potter film to be rotten on RT, oh dear.
I've been sensing an underperformance for a while. Wouldn't be surprised to see it dip as low as high 50s.
They should have forced JK Rowling to use a ghostwriter for the actual script and only come up with the stories. She can't write screenplays, the first Fantastic Beasts had so many weird, awkward pauses and moments. I was cringing in the theatre the whole way through.

Yeah, should be interesting how this will do.
I was feeling a bigger opening but see something in the high 60s now.

I don't think reviews are going to have much impact on this. Fans are going to go nuts with the return to Hogwarts. I can't wait.

OW-wise perhaps, but if it's not good the legs won't hold up IMO because the whole Grindelwald storyline feels very niche fanboy, not much appeal to casual fans.

Re: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald predictions
This should still have a pretty solid opening weekend due to the fans rushing out, but if it really does only appeal to Potterheads than that could definitely spell trouble for its legs.
