 Re: Venom Yeah I don't think its going to do much. I believe a lot of people thought it would have some connection to Spiderman and would have watched it. Not sure how well the trailer is received but anti-hero's were done before by DCEU so it doesn't have the novelty factor.

Re: Venom Predictions The trailer views aren't that surprising. This is a Venom movie after all and that character has a pretty solid established fanbase. The fanboys will eat it up regardless, but the real question should be will general audiences be interested? I can see this having a solid opening weekend due to the initial rush, but the only it will cross $100M is if it opens over $40M IMO. It will all depend heavily on reviews and WOM for this one.

Re: Venom Predictions It will open above $40m. It's still Marvel, still Spider-mam related and Venom is still an intriguing anti-hero. October will help though the weekend needs a few films to move. 50m+ is still the target.

Its not going to outgross Spidey movies like TASM. Also November and December will surely have a $200m grosser and this is not going to come close to that mark.

Re: Venom Predictions I don't think the views will increase that much after the initial surge. It went from $32m in 24 hours to $50m is 4 days. Anyways trailer views don't make or break and film and this is NOT touching IW, TFA and/or JW.

Basically another Deadpool/Suicide Squad/It. It looks fresh while still having a big brand name pull. Yes, that is a higher OW than Spider-Man, but Homecoming 2 will outdo it next year.
