Hopefully an Oscar-season title can reach 100m in a dark-horse type of way. Maybe Steven Spielberg's Pentagon Papers film or Ridley Scott's kidnapping thriller with Mark Wahlberg.

Even though Spielberg (except Lincoln) has not seen a real success in 15 years, I believe PP will really reach that mark. The kidnapping thriller will depend on the reviews but if they are positive, it would not surprise me if it became a sleeper.

Not convinced The Last Jedi is a "lock." The universe is expanding and contracting all the time. What is a lock anyway? That which you need a key to undo? What is the meaning of this anyway?

Murder on the Orient Express A Bad Moms Christmas Daddy's Home 2 Jumanji
These aren't going to make it.
Murder: bunch of washed up ex-stars past their prime, no draws, this kind of film is not relevant/popular now. Another 'Allied'
Bad Moms Xmas: comedy sequels usually decrease, first one barely made it past $100m so twice seems unlikely
Daddy's Home 2: same deal, remember how badly Ted 2 did?
Jumanji: screams flop, no1 will care about this when Star Wars is in theatres

I think Jumanji might do very well with the whole 90s nostalgia trip we're on, although this doesn't really look like the original.

The Christmas tie in will help Bad Moms. And their moms coming in makes it seem fresh.

Bad Moms Christmas should've opened with Coco. Having that and DH2 a week apart is stupid.

Pretty sad we only had It for September/October. Kingsman is only 2m away so it should hit the mark unless Fox doesn't try to for some reason.

The only time in history 4 horror films have passed 100 million. Before that it was 2.

Ninjago looks like it won't hit 100m. Kingsman should do it unless it doesn't hold up at all.

Unless Kingsman's legs get better, looks like it will miss along with Blade Runner.

Re: $100+ million movies of 2017
Interesting. I have The Greatest Showman pegged as much more of a "great chance" than Murder on the Orient Express, which I expect to finish around $75m. Especially if it gets awards attention.

So looks like Wonder can hit 100m.
Kingsman is limping its way there, gonna be the longest for a film to hit the mark this year.

Re: $100+ million movies of 2017
Wonder seems to be a good candidate now. I'm sure Kingsman will eventually get there and JL should soon reach the mark as well. That leaves two more locks. So a total of 28 movies. I think PP3 should get in with December release, its not like the last one was hated so I don't see it declining heavily.
This year will end up with 30 movies eventually but yeah not looking a great year for this list.

... and Justice League hits 100m in its 4th day. *shrug*
Kingsman is less than 300k away, and Wonder will hit the mark as well.

Daddy's Home and Murder could hit 100m with a strong Thanksgiving hold. I wouldn't take them off the possible list yet.
