Hopefully this season is better than the wildly overrated season 2.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
There was so much scenery chewing in last night's episode. SO. MUCH. I'm obsessed with this show.
To answer your question, Torri: Yes. They picked up right where they left off last season with the batshit crazy.
And yes, I am now successfully hooked by whatever military secret Fitz and Ballard have.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Loved it.
I'm not a fan of Fitz/Olivia (actually prefer Jake/Olivia), but the bunker scene was fantastic.
Liked the "Are we gladiators, or bitches?" line. Harrison was the show's weakest link.
Abby got a makeover!
One concern: did Kerry Washington's Emmy run impact the direction of this show? Is it now about an African-American fixer? I found the "Twice as good, half as hard" line curious. The show avoided race commentary almost entirely in the first two seasons. Am I being naive?

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
I saw the premiere yesterday. In less than a week, I have finished every episode this show. It is one of my favorite shows of all-time and that's not an exaggeration. I feel that every episode gets better! One of my favorite quotes from the Season 3 Premiere Episode: "What did you do?!"

The dynamic between Olivia and Papa Pope is so fascinating omg. Also, has Huck ever gotten physical with her like that? Wow. Also...Jake is back from the hole! Yay! I love Scott Foley. #teamjake

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
That was a great episode. Disappointing that they didn't advance the reveal from last week, though.
I prefer Jake and Olivia to Fitz and Olivia.
Can Sunday dinners come off the table, as Fitz decided himself to lie?
Also, any clue on why Eli is against Fitz/Olivia, beyond his having his non-Smithsonian career to protect?

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
I was on the edge of my seat of the last twenty minutes of last night's episode of "Scandal", "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington".

This show is so amazing at being so incredibly over the top/preposterous and awesome simultaneously. Like this scene: Lawd.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Last night's episode was better than last week but I still think Season 2 is better. However, I feel confident that next week will be crazy. Last week's episode wasn't good except the last 20 minutes. This week's episode was better but not as good as the Season 3 premiere.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
lol. The ad for next week.
"DID THE LOVE OF HER LIFE...
KILL HER MOTHER?"
Only Scandal could prompt such a bombastic, soap opera-ish plot development and make it work.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Great episode...
Mellie is the ace on this show. She was phenomenal in the scene with Olivia
One thing that doesn't follow for me: why wasn't Olivia more suspicious of Operation Remington initially, given the timing? She surely knows when her mom died...and she knows her father is a sketchball... Just feels like she should have been the one prompting questions.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Ooooh, "Icarus" was a really good episode. Best since the premiere. There was a lot going on but I enjoyed pretty much all of it: yet another roadblock thrown towards Fitz and Olivia, Josie Marcus getting all sassy in that awesome speech (Lisa Kudrow, I love you), that wingnut Sally Langston scheming (while Cyrus and Mellie alternately scheme), etc. Even Quinn apparently being groomed into become a B6-13 agent or something, lol.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the show's long overdue but still probably futile attempt to give Harrison his own storyline. You should just leave well enough alone, Scandal.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Holy crap. Shonda Rhimes is an evil genius.
1) I had no earthly idea that rape scene was coming and was totally jarred by it. Woah, ABC, maybe a pre-episode warning next time? But also...poor Mellie. And their first child (who we've never seen lol) is really Fitz's dad's child. I don't even care how Bold and the Beautiful that is, that's diabolical. This episode should obvi be Bellamy Young's Emmy tape, right?
2) Sally Langston's husband is gay. Sure.
3) Quinn, you dumbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb. Seriously, though. YOU. ARE. DUMB.
4) MAMA POPE IS ALIVE I KNEW IT BUT I STILL SHRIEKED adhdfhs;gf.hgdstrhrogf
This show makes me have so many feelings.

Just caught up on the last two episodes. Bellamy Young was great in the last one - the rape scene was really shocking and upsetting.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Yet another batshit crazy episode of Scandal. And I could not be enjoying it more. I mean, come on. Mama Pope ate herself and Cyrus dangling James as Gay Bait blew up in his face spectacularly. And that's not even touching on Quinn's idiot ass and Olivia/Fitz nookie.
I hope this isn't the last we see of Lisa Kudrow.

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
Wow!!!!! What Huck did to Quinn was outrageous. I was expecting that Olivia's mother was a terriorist but never in my mind that Sally killed her husband, Daniel Douglas who was trying to make a move on Cyrus' husband, James! The Winter Finale looks epic and I hope this episode lives up to the promos!

 Re: Scandal (Season 3)
I did not expect Jake to take over B613! The end scene where Mama Pope called Olivia was spooky because the mom threw her cell phone so no one else can track here whereabouts and the fact that she passed the White House was even more crazier! I can't believe I have to wait until February 27!!!!!!!!!!!!
