3. The Good Shepherd

4. Gerry
5. The Bourne Ultimatum

Very hard to narrow this list down to five. I am a big fan of a lot of his career choices, even though he can be easy to underestimate or undervalue compared to other movie stars. He is in several films by directors I love, including Gilliam, Greengrass, Soderbergh, and Van Sant.

He's just done too many damn good movies. Being a part of ensemble movies makes this really hard. Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen are all great, as is Saving Private Ryan and The Departed. I suppose if I were choosing based on Damon's performance alone, I would choose The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Bourne Supremacy and The Departed, but those Ocean's movies are so damn great, especially Twelve.

I'd love Damon to do a hit man movie like Assassins. Perhaps him versus Will Smith or someone.

AWESOME IDEA! Just the names alone is enough to make it rival Assassins. Which should be the bad guy, I'm going with Smith.

Yeah, I was thinking Smith should be the bad guy. I've never seen him as a bad guy. The worst I've seen him was in Hancock, so it'd be interesting to see him as the antagonist.
