Re: Tony's Dog in Ripley's Believe it or Not Book
Ok, I've been studying this Ripley's book for a way to get in there myself.
I wasn't lucky enough to be born with backwards AND upside down feet, or to have a massive tumor. I measured myself and I'm not 20" tall, so I guess I'm going to have to think of something creative and original.

Do you kind of wish that Mrs Groucho had done a picture of you instead of your dog?
Maybe you can get some reflected glory if you become your dog's manager or something. Better than nothing.
It's probably easier to get in the Guinness Book of Records. Pick one of the records that involves absolutely no skill. All you need is the patience to do something incredibly random for a ridiculously long amount of time.

Re: Tony's Dog in Ripley's Believe it or Not Book
I still think the unique art section in Ripley's is my best shot at fame and glory.
I just have to overcome the problems of not being creative or artistic. If I just tweak an existing idea - like I could make dryer lint out of artwork - then I'd have something. For example, I throw a Rembrandt in the dryer and frame the resulting lint.
But, back to the original topic and Groucho's wife's work. I was doing laundry today and noticed that all my dryer lint is always about 25% dog hair. This has to be some kind of irony.

Make a picture of your dog out of his own hair.
That way, even if it isn't considered worthy of the unique art section, they might include it in the macabre curios section.

By the way, here's the original pic for comparison. She really captured the essence of his ginormous spit covered tongue.

It's a high school practice football* field that is an extension of my backyard. I get all the benefits of using it, and none of the mowing.
*the real football - the kind where you primarily use your hands to play.
You can see my real backyard at the end of this video:

Oh, nice deck and yard! Very pretty.
And blah, that ain't REAL football. It's *American* football. REAL football is the kind you actually use your FEET to play.

So my wife was mentioned in a book last week. This week it's my turn.
The new nonfiction book "Wanted Undead or Alive: Vampire Hunters and other Kick Ass Enemies of Evil" by Jonathan Maberry and Janice Gable Bashman has just been released, and there's an interview with yours truly ("lawyer and novelist" they call me) on page 311.

Re: Tony's Dog in Ripley's Believe it or Not Book
Latest update:
Tony's Dog in dryer lint is still around. Turns out my wife had it stored away.
On CBS Sunday Morning today, they did an article about that lady who did a huge dryer lint Last Supper. It's not that good, but it's HUGE so it attracts the kind of publicity my wife never got (sadly).
Anyway, at 1:03 in the piece, the curator at Ripley's (who is a very nice man, by the way) mentions that they had purchased other dryer lint pieces in the past and then they show one of her works -- another dog with a big tongue.
No one told us they were doing this, and we started getting emails and calls after it was shown. Here's a link:

Re: Tony's Dog in Ripley's Believe it or Not Book
It's too bad they focus so heavily on the Last Supper picture just because of its size. It would've been better if they showed a broader scope of works and artists doing it.
But, very cool that your wife is getting some attention from it, Groucho!

What's os funny about this thread is that noone seems to realize that Tonys dog is a pussy and does not hold a candle to my K-9.
I have pics to prove this theory true.
As well as well formulated data.

Don't you have a tiny little ankle biter?
Maybe somebody could paint a life sized portrait of your dog on a grain of rice? Let's leave the cool lint art to real dogs.

Sorry for bragging about my wife. Here's a recent newspaper article about her work. She'll be doing an appearance this week at the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Once more bragging about my wife. She just won a major nationwide award (The Niche Award) for her art, and specifically this piece, Andy Warhol in dryer lint:
