Re: LeSamuraiDeL'Ombre
Safe bets of the month february:
Notre Musique (Yes, this guy called Jean-Luc still does great movies...)
Deadlock (A nihilistic krautrock neo-western by a guy named Roland Klick...)
Jean-Pierre Melville's ouevre (An underrated director with more than one great movie...)
La Battaglia di Algeri (From a time when political movies where full of tension, emotions and visions comes this masterpiece...)
Takashi Miike's Shin jingi no hakaba (I like the way this bleak yakuza-drama refuses to show psychological motivations... Rikuo Ishimatsu is an extremly talented actor, at least in my opinion...)
Schultze gets the Blues (If you like Jarmusch and want to get an idea what ordinary people's life in backwood-Germany looks like and how they see America, here's your movie...)
Dersu Uzala (I'm going to sleep, so i ain't got no idea what to say... besides..... Miau,... das ist ein verfickt guter Film, Argos)

Ultraviolet is not as good as Deep Rising.
Discuss!

Re: LeSamuraiDeL'Ombre
...but you had to watch his oeuvre in the month of February - now, it's to late.
March is dedicated to:
Paul Greenaway's The Cook, The Thief, Her Wife and His Lover
Harun Farocki's Aufschub
Fernand Léger's Ballet mécanique
Bernardo Bertolucci's Il Conformista
Michelangelo Antonioni's La Notte
...and a couple of other Motion Pictures.

That's too late. The Grim Reaper won't play any chess with you if you missrespect my recommendations by perceiving them TOO LATE. Can you live on with the fear of dying without even playing chess with the mighty Grim Reaper?

A couple of days/weeks ago, i watched a movie about a donkey.
It's called Au hasard Balthazar and it's fantastic.

I would have preferred the ending if Balthazar had won the race.

This movie is a lot of fun, although Barbet Schroeder's hair-styling is really, really bad.
