Post Which series would you like to see start up again?
Will & Grace, The X-Files, Murphy Brown, Roseanne (now The Conners). It's pretty common to see old shows become new again with updates and revivals the last number of years. What other series would you like to see revived?

Some guidelines: I'm not talking about shows that were cancelled too soon (ie. Happy Endings). I'd keep it at series that, for the most part, fulfilled their TV life with a lengthy-enough run to go into syndication.

The two big ones of the last 25 years are Seinfeld and Friends. I'd kind of love to see a new season of Seinfeld. Something tells me those characters would still be close to where they were in 1998, except no longer in jail. It might be interesting to see them in 2018, or it may be too much to see those characters try to grapple with today's norms while still being about "nothing".

Friends, on the other hand, I don't ever want to see revived. That show was about a time and a place in people's lives. It would be kind of sad to see them anywhere closely resembling where they were 20 years ago. And I don't really want or need to see where they are now if they are all in different places.

Firefly, I'm not even that big a fan of the show, but I would like to see how it turns out

It’s odd that it seems like every single cult favorite has gotten second life, but not the one most notorious for being cancelled after 1 season. Maybe Disney will reboot it for their new service.

I would imagine Joss Whedon's rise to film with The Avengers and his subsequent fall from grace have kept Firefly from ever being considered in the age of the TV restart. He'll make a comeback eventually, but he won't waste it on something like a Firefly reboot.

I find "fall from grace" and "comeback" ridiculous terms to use re: Joss Whedon's career. He's doing just fine :)

Only if they can do something different with 24. Or get Kiefer back. Legacy was all of the worst 24 tropes without Kiefer saving it from being a trainwreck.

Dexter could easily come back. Make up for that shitty finale. And they are bringing back Stewart as Picard.

Now that Dexter was a success no doubt there will be other one season revivals. Unfortunate Joss Whedon has been cancelled since he had tons of candidates. 24 seems like a good pick.

I would like to see a new True Blood season

Maybe the OC? Too bad Barton got killed off.

I would love for another season of The O.C.

I desperately hope one day Happy Endings comes back.

I'm actually fine with "The O.C." not coming back. It's one of my favorite shows of all time but has a really beautiful ending and one of the best series finales ever, IMO. Not sure what else they could do with it.

I would still love something that could wrap up "GLOW," whether it be a final season or a movie. The fans were done so dirty with that one.

If Joss Whedon is off the table there is only one logical answer to this question now:

Game of Thrones.

Fox should've done it instead of Hulu

I would say Gossip Girl IF the main cast got back and Serena dumped Dan's sanctimonious ass :funny: . I can't say I'm fond of what I've seen and heard of the reboot.

Leighton and Ed were robbed of Emmy's though tbh, they were just amazing
