Never say never, but to have an SVU spinoff also set in NYC starring Stabler that doesn't result in a Benson/Stabler reunion of some kind would be one of the more bizarre television choices of late. I wouldn't mind some scenes of Captain Benson laying down the law with him.
As for the show itself, I'm sure I'll give it a shot even though the organized crime part sounds lame already. Stabler's ever-present intensity and unshakable Catholicism were kind of a detriment to SVU by the end (if not before) so I wonder how different he'll be as well as how much of Stabler's personal life they'll blow up. Last we saw he was still married with 30 kids, do you think he's added to the brood by now?
