Re: Euphoria (HBO)
I finally got around to watching the finale, and honestly it was a lot tamer than I was expecting. It kind of sucks in my opinion that this finale just ended up being pretty much one big tease for Season 2. Now, I don't mind a good cliffhanger, but when the whole episode is pretty much a cliffhanger than yeah that''s annoying. I hope we get some great payoffs next season, because I want to feel at least somewhat satisfied with where this show is going. Everything about it from the cinematography to the performances is all aces, but I can admit that the writing did start feeling a bit stale towards the end.

Forgot to bump this up but their Christmas episode with Zendaya was amazing.
About to watch the new Jules special since it dropped on HBO Max early.

I thought the Rue episode was alright. The Jules one was better. Was nice to get insight into where Jules is coming from.

I thought both were strong and very different from each other. I was hot and cold on Season 1, but I'm still very intrigued with where it goes.

I haven't watched the show yet, but your discussion really intrigues me. I will definitely look and share my opinion. I think it should be interesting. In HBO I have not come across the bad series. Of course, a lot of them have specific audiences, but they're still good.

Dil wrote: You ain't lying Mister Ecks. There is so much full frontal male nudity in this show, but I keep hearing from people that this is HBO making up for the lack of it GOT. No idea how true that it is, but it definitely seems like it so far. That's absolutely the case. Reflects paranoia about criticism of the nudity imbalance. We saw their approach to gratuitous sex changing after the controversial Cersei/Jaime sex scene in front of Joffrey's coffin. Now, everything from HBO is super calibrated so as to not offend.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Excellent premiere. It's so mesmerizing to watch. I've always wanted a darker Degrassi, and while I think it tends to throw it way too far into the opposite direction, it's still a really good show. Kind of surprising it took this long to get a very adult teen drama. I can't imagine living my teen years anywhere close to this, but that's more or less the point of most teen dramas.
Also shocked it took over two years to get Season 2. I know we got those two specials but still.

The premiere was great. This is the most gorgeous looking show on TV. The rest of this season looks so good.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
I've got to admit I wasn't as crazy about the second episode. This season absolutely has a different feel and I'm not sure I like it as much. I did think the episode got better as it progressed. It just felt off to me for a bit. It's less "action packed" than the premiere which didn't help and I'm not sure I like a lot of the storylines they're setting up. I could definitely see Lexi being the MVP of the season. Maude Apatow is stealing every scene she's in. I'm glad she is having a bigger role in Season 2.
The next episode does look better so here's hoping.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
Episode 3 was a masterpiece. This show is a masterpiece. I wasn't 100% on board with this season yet but episode 3 won me over big-time. The different feel from the first season really worked for me this episode. It's seriously beautiful. I loved the Labrinth tracks from Season 1 but the music choices this season have impressed me more overall. Though the music choices in Season 1 were great as well. Loved the last couple minutes of the episode. Oh and Cal's backstory at the beginning of the episode was really well-done. Technically it's not something we haven't seen before in regards to that type of storyline but it's gorgeously filmed of course and the needle drops are excellent. I'm sure I'll have "Never Tear Us Apart" in my head all day tomorrow.
Best episode so far this season and honestly probably one of the best of the series.

Eric Dane and Sydney Sweeney have been the MVPs this season, especially after tonight's episode. Really loving this season.

The new episode was not very good. It was pretty dull and the worst this season so far. This season is really fucking up and down.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
I've liked this season so far but it's just unfortunate that some storylines for characters are either weak or nonexistent. Apparantly there's behind the scenes drama with the actress who played Kat so her storyline got cut

Tonight's episode was one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. It was this series' equivalent of "Ozymandias." Zendaya is winning the Emmy again. Jesus Christ.

That's what I hear anyway. Makes sense since her role is drastically reduced.

Re: Euphoria (HBO)
The latest episode was brilliant. Zendaya is revelatory. That first scene had me on the verge of tears. Just wow. Now this is the best episode this season so far and one of the best of the series. I honestly doubt there's a better episode this season. I don't see how it's possible.
