My wife and I loved it. Though I don't get why people thought it painted David in a good light. I think it pretty fairly painted him as a loon. The performances were all top notch.

I've watched the first episode a few month ago, and then 2-4 these last few days, hope to finish it soon too. It's great, really enjoy the performances from everyone and it's with plenty of suspense. I've always wanted to see something more about these events, and even there's been docs about it, I really love the job they did here. I'll comment again once I've finished it.
Great mini-series, mainly because it's just interesting to learn about what went down at that time, and loved Michael Shannon in it. The peculiarity and controversy around Waco persists that the ATF/FBI/ Government just completely fucked this up, though the series is a bit incomplete in not getting to the bottom of it. Even if unintentional, the show makes it hard not to conclude the event was a genocide. The David Koresh guy, really well played by Kitsh, simply wasn't really right in the mind either though, and I think the show does not depict that well enough. It does succeed in making the viewer sympathize with him and the group, and it works, but I'd still like to see a more objective take on it too though.
