Has anyone started/finished the new Netflix/Marvel series? I am three episodes into it. Liking it so far, but damn, it is slow. I realize that it is building up to something, but still. I like the blaxploitation angle. Though Cottonmouth is too similar a villain to Fisk.

I've watched the first two so far. It's decent but a step down from "Jessica Jones" for me thus far.

Congratulations, Mau, on a nearly indecipherable post.

I finished this yesterday and while I liked it overall it's a significant step down in quality from Daredevil and even a bit below Jessica Jones. I have definitely warmed up to the Luke Cage character though and I'm still hyped for The Defenders.

This show is boring. On episode 7 now. Every time it gains momentum it just...stops.

Erik LaRay Harvey is the worst Marvel villain ever. His performance is so over the top and the character is stupid. His costume in the finale makes him look like a glorified Power Ranger.

It makes sense they wanted to advertise Mahershala Ali's character and keep this one a secret because he is such a better actor and his character was actually interesting. Diamondback fucking sucks.

Netflix Marvel Rankings:

1. Jessica Jones - A
2. Daredevil: Season 2 - A-
3. Daredevil: Season 1 - B+
4. Luke Cage - C+

Good God, I am at episode 9 now. It is probably the slowest, yet still well-made series I have ever seen. I mean the production values are great, I like the actors, but this draaaaags and draaaaags and I'm afraid that is not gonna get any better. Diamondback just seems to lame.

I should definitely lower my grade for this from a fucking C+ :P I basically hated it upon reflection. It was boring, the acting was awful aside from Rosario Dawson, and it took forever to get through.

Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard and especially Simone Missick are pretty good.

Mahershala Ali and Alfre Woodard are good. Simone is not. Her character sucks. Misty Knight is the worst.

I like Mike Colter on "Jessica Jones" but he wasn't nearly as charismatic on his own show, which surprised me.

My brother started watching this recently. It is probably the sort of shit he will love.

I've been enjoying this through 7 episodes, but knowing there's another 6 after the Cottonmouth twist a real drag. I like Mariah but not as a main villain.

Looking back, Cottonmouth is set up well, but turns out to be such a non-factor as a villain.

I've seen one episode since this post on Dec 28. Defenders is summer, so I should still be able to make it with this pace.

Still haven't seen this thanks to all the remarks about it being slow and boring. A shame as I was looking forward to it.

Watch couple episodes and judge for yourself. I liked it. Sure there were some slow moments but it didn't ruin the series for me.
