Quarry (Cinemax)
This drama, the story of a troubled Marine who returns to Mississippi from Vietnam in 1972 and becomes involved with the criminal underworld, debuts on Cinemax on September 9th. I am excited for it. It seems very confidently made and intriguing, and I dig the cast, including Logan "American Tom Hardy" Marshall-Green and the always electrifying Peter Mullan.
Outcast did not cut it for me, but I know it has ardent fans. And I absolutely adore The Knick; one of my favorite television series ever. So I am rooting for Cinemax as their original programming grows more ambitious.

This has been delayed forever. The entire season has been done filming since last summer. Unless it makes some kind of splashy debut I doubt we'll see a second season.

I absolutely love this so far. It is atmospheric, brutal, gripping, and poignant pulp fiction of the highest order.
