Anybody watch this? It's the latest from Ben Elton. I watched the first episode last night and it is pretty funny. I am a big fan of the lead, David Mitchell (who plays Shakespeare), and many of the supporting actors are well known and likeable too. It is not usually my type of thing, but as it's poking fun at Shakespeare and the era, I found it pretty good. Each episode revolves around a different Shakespeare play. The first was Romeo and Juliet. |

So I've seen all six now and I can say that they are pretty good. I enjoyed them all. Probably episode 5 and 6 are my favourites; Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice. It's very clever and modern. And I am pleased to hear that a second series will be made. |

I think you would appreciate it. It's not laugh-out-loud funny, but it is humorous and cleverly written. |
