My guess for the midseason finale:

Spoiler: show
Negan will take Judith. Rick is shown in the quick preview with tears in his eyes. I don't think Negan will kill anyone else, but instead, the punishment will be taking Judith.

I don't know. I thought every mid season finale since they started in 3 have been some of the best episodes of their respective seasons. And someone big usually dies (Hershel, Beth, Dianna)

Wow, both people I guessed, ended up getting it. Thank god on the main one, he was getting awful.

I loved this episode. Sets everything up for a crazy second half. Overall, I know some people are a little iffy on this season, felt more anthology then a coherent storyline, but so much really had to be set up, and I think they did great. Obviously Tara's Lesbian forest group is going to be the deciding factor, which I can't wait for.

The squeamish may not appreciate the gutting, but that was an all-time classic kill for TWD.

What the show got right in the mid-finale was the sense of hope. After 8+ episodes of hopelessness, things look like they could get better. I want a resolution to come to the Saviors storyline by next season. My issue after that is that the show should start working on a wrap-up. I'm sure that's not in the cards, but ratings have unfortunately dipped (overall I think this season has been solid so far), so I don't think this will be a juggernaut forever. It would be nice to see the show end at nine seasons. But that's just me.

If the show is to continue for a few more seasons (I know producers plan for that), they should consider reducing the number of episodes per season to 10 or 12. 16 has always been too many. While I appreciate episodes like the Tara one, I'd rather things move at a faster pace.

I think the mid season finale was the most watched of that kind of episode so far (over 16 million, and 9 plus in the key demo)

This is honestly a show, I'd be fine with if they never ended it. Unless of course it gets awful, but I really enjoyed this season so far.

I'm guessing I'm not the only one who forgot this came back last night.

Work and the Grammy's really let this one slip by for me. I'm definitely watching after work tonight.

I binged the last six episodes until the finale on Sunday. Maybe the show benefits from being binged because I loved what I saw. And I was impressed with the finale. All I've read are bad reviews, but I thought it was excellent. The show needs hope so badly, and it gave it to us, while keeping Negan and most of the Saviors intact. That's not a bad thing. Although I don't want it dragged out either.

And it's been great seeing a different side of Negan with Sasha. You can see in those moments why he has so many followers. And Sasha's ending, while expected, served as a nice catalyst for the gunfight.
