Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
This could be the end, or the start of its best season yet. I get that vibe. I can spout about my principals after that cliffhanger finale, but I'll be waiting anxiously for the premiere.
My only fear: they've purposefully kept all the characters out of the previews that may bite it. There's a lot of footage shown. I really really hope they don't drag it out and show us flashbacks and other characters in the meantime. I'm sure they'll show us immediately, the writers can't be that dumb... Can they?

If the death isn't in episode 1, I will not be watching the rest of Season 7.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
Picked up the Season 6 bluray because why not?
I'd make an argument now, three weeks out from the premiere, that the ending was really well-done. Just misguided as fuck.

Looks like people have figured out who dies Glenn and Abraham, most likely Abraham takes it like a champ first, and then that preserves the shock for Glenn's

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
this is the beginning of the end for the show right? This is as menacing and monsterous as any human can be. He is the final boss at the end of the game. When he's done in, that's it. They have to wrap it up.

Really I doubt the show will do the same

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
I've been on and off with this show for years, but even I have to admit that was a pretty incredible episode, especially for a premiere. I might actually watch every episode this season just for the Negan character.
Seriously, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is AMAZING.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
I found the episode a tad irritating. The Jeffrey Dean Morgan character is SO obsessed with mustache-twirling monologues. And Glenn's death is disgusting and upsetting and has a huge impact and yet...I don't know, it is also slightly undermined by the aura of gimmickry and exploitation.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
This show crossed the line into torture & misery porn a while ago for me. I see no point in this endless cycle where they encounter a threat who's even worse than the previous one, someone dies, they all move on, repeat.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
I am intrigued to see the popular reaction to this episode over the next 48 or so hours. A lot of people seem to feel the series crossed a line.

Well, Glenn's death is pretty much identical to the comic.

Yeah I saw plenty of that twitter and the IMDB boards are even more of a mess, but I can totally see it being too much for some. It was Saw/Hostel levels of brutality, and while I'm not as emotionally invested as others might be in those characters I honestly feel really bad for anyone who was. Still I thought the performances from everyone was phenomenal and I enjoyed how they built it up the whole episode.

Hmm, there are many "I'm done" comment over at TVLine as well. What were people expecting?
