Episode 1 is fantastic. Couldn't say enough good things about this show. For those looking to watch, my suggestion is to go in with as little as possible known beforehand. My only knowledge was its heavy influence from 80s fare but it's so much more than that so far.

So I finished yesterday. Absolutely loved this. The last two episodes were action-packed and insane, and better than most summer blockbusters released this year.

The sequence with Jonathan, Nancy and Steve in the house was incredible. So well done and tense.

Also Eleven is an amazing character.

This is such a fun show.

Just watched the last four episodes again tonight :P

All the performances on this show are so great. I love all the characters. And it really demands to be binge-watched, this feels so much like one long movie and very little like a TV show, mostly because of the fantastic cinematography, performances, atmosphere, pacing and score.

I hope Netflix gives it a second season.

Yeah I didn't care for this either. It had some cool ideas, but the characters weren't very interesting or likable, especially the kids.

One of the best Netflix originals. What a fantastic show. All the kids killed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It captured the 80s (and 80s horror/adventure films) perfectly. Kudos to a brilliant cast of kids who really shone here.

Not sure if we need a second season but id love more original programming like Stranger Things. It seemed to come out of nowhere.

Started watching it last night and finished it this morning. I loved it. It has just the right number of episodes to cover the story. I loved the whole Goonies meet E.T. meet Strange Encounters of the Third Kind meet Silent Hill (the game of course) meet classic 80's stuff (music, D'n'D, etc...).

I'm not really sure if Winona was awesome or just terrible, but she sure did put her own spin on weird, possibly crazy single mom cliche. The rest of the cast was great - the kids' casting especially. Not a single weak link there.

I'm also not sure about if this needs a second season (even though they've set it up), but I sure hope it's just as good as this one once they eventually film it.

Winona's performance is worth it even if for nothing other than her reaction to the Christmas lights lighting up.

I thought Winona strode the "grief stricken yet wont give up borderline loopy/crazy but not" line very very well. Enjoyed her performance.

She was a bit too open eyed and open mouthed in all of her reactions for me. Bordering on some kind of parody. And what's with her running? And I wasn't a big fan of the wig. Patricia Heaton much.

All signs point towards this being one of Netflix's biggest hits through a month

It's also already like top 8 in total user ratings and ahead of shows like Jessica Jones, Narcos and Fuller House

I knew it! This is gonna be big... still wary of a second season, though.
