Fukunaga is fresh off Beasts of No Nation, with Maniac set to serve as a reunion for the Emmy-winning director and True Detective producers Anonymous Content.

Oscar nominees Hill (Moneyball, The Wolf of Wall Street) and Stone (Birdman) would also reunite on Maniac after co-starring in feature Superbad.

I'm obviously super pumped as I'll watch absolutely anything with Emma in it no matter what. Also am a fan of Hill and the concept sounds fun.

Netflix won the rights to this and has ordered 10 episodes.

YOU GUYS. I cannot express how deeply I fell in love with this series. This is, legitimately, one of the most brilliant TV shows to come along in a really long time. Emma Stone and Sally Field deserve Emmys. I binged it all the way through and couldn't stop. I sobbed throughout the last two episodes. It's beautiful, thought-provoking, hilarious, thrilling and gorgeous. Holy fuck. I'm absolutely obsessed with it and need to watch it again.

I didn't love it as much as thompsoncory, but it's a very intriguing and engaging show IMO with some fantastic performances from Stone, Field, Hill and I'd even throw Theroux in there as well. It won't be for everyone though.
