The Fall (BBC Two/Netflix)
This is a masterful police drama set in Belfast. I recently sped through both seasons. It burns slowly, but the storyline is creepy, hypnotic, riveting, and thought-provoking, and both leads (Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan) shine. I prefer it to True Detective and perhaps even Fargo among recent, serious-minded crime dramas. Highly, highly recommended.

I watched the first season when it first premiered on Netflix and thought it was super suspenseful. A few sequences scared the shit out of me. I still need to watch season 2 though.
