Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
It kills me we'll probably have to wait until the end of the year for season 2 (it's filming now through the summer). I miss this show so much.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
There will be a special Christmas episode on December 23rd. Then a full second season premieres in May 2017.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
Okay, so I watched half of the first season of this show, and while the characters were good, the show itself was really boring? Like, I don't get how anyone actually made it through all of the fucking nothing, with only vague glimmers of promise. It was like six hours of foreplay, and that's enough to leave me bored and wanting something different.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
The Christmas special/season 2 premiere was absolutely wonderful and encompassed everything I love about this show. I missed these characters and this world so much. It was a great setup for the second season and highly engaging, action-packed and emotional. Lito, Hernando and Daniela continue to be my absolute favorite characters. I cried during Lito's interaction with his mom. "My baby penguin" It was a beautiful moment. Also adored Riley and Will's ice skating scene and Wolfgang and Kala's snowball fight. I just love these characters so much. I'm so attached to them after such a small number of episodes. I just want them all to be happy I can't wait for more episodes but this was a great palate cleanser. This show is the spiritual successor to "Lost," without question. It puts me through the same emotional rollercoaster that series did.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
I loved the Christmas special. It was earnest and exciting and New Age twisty and visually sumptuous in the way Sense8 should be.
I will say, I do not find the new Capheus as charismatic or engaging as the original actor. At least not yet. Of course, his character is not given much to do in the special.

The second season is great so far! On episode 6. It's moving at a faster pace than last season too.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
It's my favorite too. I have deliberately been watching it at a slower pace to space it out because the wait for season 3 is going to be agonizing. I am so emotionally attached to these characters.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
I haven't cried so hard at a TV episode since the last season of "Lost" with episode 9. That ending broke my heart.
Also, Daniela is AMAZING.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
$100 M+ production budget for this, wow.
SENSE8= 20% MATRIX + 20% NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY + 10% MELODRAMA + 50% FIFTY SHADES OF GAY.
Exciting premise, likeable characters and overall execution was good, but there was no flow in the plot with absolutely unbearable gay sex scenes and nudity which added nothing to the show, atleast for me, could've been way better. Basically, style over substance. 6/10.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
Brian J. Smith is encouraging fans to voice their support for a season 3 as it's on the bubble right now, mostly because of the high production cost (currently at $9 million/episode).
If this gets cancelled I will be so upset. They at least deserve a wrap-up movie or something. This is one of the best shows on TV, it's probably my favorite second thing this year other than "The Leftovers."
That being said, I remember they dragged out the renewal announcement forever for season 1 too so it could just be a marketing ploy. Let's see.

Re: Sense8 (Netflix)
"The Crown" is more expensive. I think each episode is like $12-13 million.
