Quote:
The Rayburns are well-established pillars of their Florida Keys community, but when their troubled son comes home for the forty-fifth anniversary of his parents' hotel, he threatens to expose the family's closely guarded secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty.

The first season of this crime drama premieres on Netflix on March 20th.

I will definitely tune in. (Or log on, as it were.) Seems atmospheric and suspenseful, and it has a strong cast. Most people will be excited by Kyle Chandler's presence, but, for me, the draw is Ben Mendelsohn, an ensemble MVP in such films as Animal Kingdom and Black Sea.

The first episode of this was fantastic. The entire cast was great and I'm already incredibly intrigued by the dynamic between the siblings. And the ending was shocking for anyone that knows Kyle Chandler best as Coach Taylor ;) I can't wait to watch more later. It definitely has a "Damages" feel to it in terms of structure that should make for a good binge-watching series.

I have not completed the entire season yet, but this is a great series so far. Very atmospheric and suspenseful. And finely acted.

I finished it tonight. Great and captivating season through to the end.

I am excited for the presumptive second season, but perhaps a tad skeptical, too. Can any storyline (even Danny's mysterious son and what he does or does not know) live up to the tension between Ben Mendelsohn's Danny and Kyle Chandler's John?

I wonder if the second season will depict the Rayburns' downfall and conclude the series. It is hard to imagine this going on for four or five seasons, but we shall see.

Ugh, I'm such a bad Kyle Chandler fan - I've only watched two episodes so far even though I've LOVED both. I hate binge-watching. I'll finish it soon.

I finished this last night. The last four episodes are amazing. Ben Mendelsohn and Kyle Chandler's scene at the end of episode 12 was so incredible. Both of them deserve Emmy nominations. I also thought Linda Cardellini and Norbert Leo Butz were incredible.

I don't know where it will go. The first season killed the series' best actor/character. Now Mendelsohn is still back as a regular in Season 2, but that just means a ton of flashbacks which seems lame to me...

I'm still waiting for Netflix to make a original scripted series I like... I tried the pilot for this and unfortunately, another miss

I don't understand why the second season is getting a more muted critical reception. I think it's fantastic and riveting. I've watched 8 episodes so far.

The finale was INSANE. How can they expect me to wait with those cliffhangers?!

This season was extraordinary. Norbert Leo Butz was the MVP this year in my opinion, I thought his performance was incredible.

Netflix just announced season 3 will be the final season :(

Disappointed but considering they haven't filmed it yet I'm sure they'll manage to wrap things up. I was hoping for 4-5 seasons though.

Interesting to see Netflix finally make a relevant cancellation, but ratings data seems to suggest it wasn't a good performer, plus seems expensive and only got a 60 on MC last season compared to say BoJack where a lot of signs point towards otherwise cancellation level ratings but is one of their two most critically acclaimed shows and can't cost them much

"Bloodline" gets major Emmy nominations though, which even "OITNB" can't claim. Both Chandler and Mendelsohn are up for Emmys this weekend for season 2.

Harvey Weinstein's ego. I can't believe he sunk $90 million into the first season of that mess. It's the most expensive show no one talks about.

I love the series, but I do not mind it ending. It seems well-positioned for a third and final season, an end game for the Rayburn family, versus going onward and onward.

Thank God, it is ending. There is no need to drag it out.

Last year one of the creators said they envision a 5-6 seasons plan for it. The hell?

Final season starts tomorrow. This is one of the best shows on television, it's a shame its release will be overpowered by the far inferior "House of Cards" launch in a few days.

This is a damn fine drama which has always flown under the radar. I am eager to see how the mostly-self-inflicted Rayburn tragedy comes to a close.

Eh. The final season was good but I thought it was the weakest of the three. It was a shame Linda Cardellini had such a small presence in the overall scheme of things. And while I get why they did it episode 9 felt like kind of a waste.

Performances were still across the board incredible though.

The third season is definitely the worst, though still solid television, buoyed by Kyle Chandler's impeccable performance and the ever-sleazily-atmospheric Florida setting. But seams started to show. It annoys me Andrea Riseborough's character was completely ignored.

I am not sure what the creators were picturing when they previously pitched a five, six-, or seven-season arc. The show's magic lessened the further it moved from the John-versus-Danny dynamic. No other drug-running or murder-coverup plot quite matched its intensity or complexity. The very idea of Bloodline, season seven, with sweaty Kevin in over his head again, is a bit exhausting. ;)
