My friend made me watch the pilot the other day. I guess I'll give the season a try, it seems harmless but idk. The pilot might be the worst episode, because it's SO cheesy and Calista looks... not good. Re: SUPERGIRL TV Series Thread Really charming premiere. Although I'm already dreading them phasing out Cat Grant. Calista Flockhart is so great in that role and her chemistry with Melissa Benoist almost makes the show for me. That scene with the resumé was so sweet and my favorite part of the episode.

Re: SUPERGIRL TV Series Thread Really good episode. I'm so sad Cat is gone, though her last scenes with Kara/Supergirl were so adorable and empowering. I remember reading she was contracted for six episodes this year under her current contract so I really hope Calista returns later this season.

Re: SUPERGIRL TV Series Thread This show is so enjoyable! I mentioned it in the "Flash" thread but it's the best of the DC shows on right now. It's just so pleasant and optimistic, and the entire cast is great. I love Mon-El so far and his relatioship with Kara.

Re: SUPERGIRL TV Series Thread Calista Flockhart's departure as a series regular wasn't necessarily as harmful to the show as some feared, but her return last night just proved what a great character Cat Grant is. I missed her so much. "Resist" was perhaps the best episode of the show to date if only for so much insanely strong female representation.
I mean, we had Cat, Rhea, Lillian Luthor, Supergirl, Lena, the president, Alex and Maggie all kicking ass at various points. Very, very commendable.

Re: SUPERGIRL TV Series Thread As long as production stays in Vancouver, Calista won't be back as a series regular at any point, I don't think. She's very focused on only working long-term in L.A. I absolutely adore Cat Grant and think she's the high point of this show when she's on.
