I think this is the most I've ever seen discussion on Facebook about a show coming to Netflix.

I'm honestly sick of hearing about it. Stuff is added to Netflix all the time. I don't understand why this is such a big deal. I'd be more excited if "The OC" was added or something.

It is the best show of all time. No "in my opinion," it is just fact. I own the series on DVD and plan on binge watching it on Netflix. I've seen every episode at least 5 times. :P

Fucking brilliant, hilarious, touching, smart, witty, wonderful show. My favorite of all-time. :wub2: I've actually seen most of the episodes multiple times but I could absolutely go for re-watching this from the beginning. I own the DVD's but it just seems so much more convenient streaming it. LOL.

I'm a hypocrite because in the past three weeks I've watched almost four seasons of this. I'll probably finish season 4 this weekend.

It's not the best show ever but it's charming and fun and relaxing. Emily is by far the best character. Jess is the fucking worst.

I fucking hate this show. I CAN'T STAND THE WAY THEY TALK. NO ONE CARRIES ON A CONVERSATION LIKE THAT!!!!!! One Rambles, the other starts talking immediately without any reaction or thought over what was just said, and begins her own ramble. Rinse and repeat. Oh and Melissa McCarthy 100 lbs lighter and Seth McFarlaine in a non funny role. That about sums it up.

I'm four episodes away from being done with the entire series. Season 7 is not nearly as bad as some were making it out to be - it is certainly better than that long stretch of episodes where Lorelai and Rory were fighting earlier on.

Also, I don't understand how anyone could be anything but team Logan :P . He is easily the best and most mature of any of Rory's boyfriends and they seem the most stable. Jess was a mess and honestly Dean is the worst and I'm glad he never came back to the show - he's an immature asshole. I know Rory doesn't end up with anyone at the end of the show but if they ever do a reunion I say Matt Czuchry or bust ;)

I'll have to see when I get to the Logan episodes again but I used to really dislike him. He was better than Jess though. I hated him. I was always team Dean.

HOLY SHIT!

Quote:
THIS JUST IN: We’re getting those final four words!

Sources confirm that Netflix has closed a deal with Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival of Gilmore Girls penned by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino.

Although negotiations with the cast are only now beginning, I’m told all of the major players — most notably Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson — are expected back for the continuation. Additionally, per multiple insiders, the revival will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies.
And I repeat: This is not a drill.

The deal allows Sherman-Palladino — who left the original series prior to the final season amid a contract dispute with Warner Bros. — to conclude Gilmore Girls as she always intended, right through to those elusive final four words.
AS-P addressed the possibility of a revival over the summer when she reunited with the show’s cast at the ATX TV Festival. “It would have to be the right everything — the right format, the right timing,” she said. “If it ever happened, I promise we’ll do it correctly.”

When I interviewed AS-P in 2009 at Entertainment Weekly, she conceded that the events of the show’s final seventh season didn’t match up with the end game she envisioned for Lorelai, Rory & Co. “I haven’t [actually] seen the last season,” she said at the time, “but I heard about it from other people.”

Even back then, AS-P remained hopeful that she would get to conclude the Gilmore story on her terms, via a limited series or movie. “The beauty of Gilmore, and the beauty of family-relationship shows, is you never really run out of story,” she said. “You’re going to battle your family until you’re all in the ground. Those things never resolve, doesn’t matter how much therapy you get. Ten years later, there’s still going to be [material] there to mine and to delve into.”

Gilmore Girls premiered on the now-defunct WB network in 2000, before transferring to spinoff net The CW in 2006 for its final season.

Did I mention that this isn’t a drill?

This was officially confirmed today - Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena and Sean Gunn will be returning as regulars.

As previously mentioned it will be four 90-minute movies and the rumored title is "Gilmore Girls: Seasons"

Apparently they are trying to get Melissa McCarthy back for a cameo appearance.

All but one of Rory's boyfriends will be showing up due to budgetary restrictions. I swear to god she better not end up with Dean :P She really should end up with Logan.
