Is Ed Harris the mysterious Arnold? Or maybe a host that Arnold programmed his consciousness in to?

3rd episode takes the pace down a bit, some more developments that raise some more questions. Wished there was some continuation of Ed Harris' story. Hope to get some answers next episode.

I hated playing the Saloon trivia but I completely missed that the song played on the piano was The Cure's Forest

I've watched the first two episodes so far, I'm not really feeling it.

Episode 4 was great again, lots of unraveling. Episode 5 felt a bit like an inbetweener again, but then we still progressed a bit with Harris is story line too, which is the best in the show. I'm digging this show a lot. Sci-Fi pur sang.

This was the best episode since the premiere. Hopkins and Harris' Heat moment was so tense.

I really enjoyed episode 6 again, lots of behind the screen developments. Great to see Tessa Thompson too.

Thandie Newton is incredible on this show. Easily the best character. I hope she gets an Emmy nomination.

Last night's episode with the twist was awesome.

I suspect Newton, Harris, Hopkins, and Jeffrey Wright are all going to be up for emmys. Hopkins was very creepy last night.

Oh yeah, he's great. I only hate Shannon Woodward so far but her character is annoying. The rest of the cast is amazing.

 Did not see that one coming. "What door?" had me saying " holy shit! " Very cruel twist for three characters (don't forget Elsie! ) but so well set up that it is forgivable. I wonder if Ed Harris will turn out to be the hero of the show now.

It was a great episode even before that. Great action sequence and the Ghost Nation are still terrifying.

Thandie Newton has been killing it in this show so far and I did not see that twist coming at all which is surprising since it's hard to completely catch me off guard.

Also, nobody has mentioned it yet, but Tessa Thompson is a fucking babe :wub2:. I honestly didn't find her that attractive before.

Do we, in general, believe the theory there are two timelines in play and Ed Harris' character is one of the young businessmen traveling with Dolores?

No, but I also wouldn't have believed a theory about Bernard being a robot.

However.. If that were true , it would mean the park hasn't changed in 30-40 years. We've seen how robotic the old models are, yet Dolores, Teddy and Maeve are exactlty the same? And we know for a fact that Maeve had previously been part of another story, while McPoyle and his asshole bro-in-law definitely visited her brothel.

Haven't they said Dolores is one of the oldest hosts?

But wasn't she only able to break her loop due to the reveries update not only letting her find the gun, but also having a vision of Ed Harris?

It would be a cool twist, but would take too long to explain how its even possible. The Bernard twist stills fits with everything else that is going on. It only changes how we feel about certain characters.

There were a few things that so directly layed out davids theory that I assumed it would happen by the end of the episode. I still hope it doesn't happen for reasons stated above.

But if they revealed that and killed off (retired) ERW in the finale it could work. That twist makes her whole plotline irrelevant and Maeve is clearly the lead character now anyways.

Newton is great as Maeve too!

One thing that still confused me a bit up until this point, not sure if that was explained. Who planted those bugs/ transmitters in the woodcutter and possibly other hosts to get info out of/ from the park. And had hosts been getting tampered with by anybody, or is it really some anomalies from reveries that it's being caused by.

About the transmitters it seems it was Hopkins who put these in the hosts, and when Bernard's assistant found out, that's when Hopkins let Bernard kill her, but I didn't quite get the idea why Hopkins had to be planting those transmitters in the first place...

Theresa put them. To smuggle out code for The Board as Ford never gave them full host codes nor does he plan to. I thought it was made pretty clear and even repeated. That's why putting it with her when her body was found was smart. Even the annoying too self assured Board girl said to that programmer that Theresa died doing a job for the Board.

Ah...missed this part.
That does make all sense then to that extent.

But I guess this doesn't explain why Bernard killed of Elsie.

However, I just googled "elsie westworld" and some theories of there being an Elsie-fake came up...so, I'll just be waiting for next episode and see how things unfold.

Elsie called Bernard and said something like "this goes beyond Theresa". She probably uncovered something that goes back to Ford, which is why she was eliminated. But we will get to that later I guess.

Also the plot you people mention of Man in Black being in the past makes little sense to me. The timeline would make no sense that way.
