 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Modern Family with two wins. Really wondering if they may steal a fifth Comedy win.
No words for Parsons. Four Emmys? Really? He does not deserve to share the record with Kelsey Grammer, Carroll O'Connor and Michael J. Fox. Sorry TBBT fans. Facts are facts.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Paul and Gunn for the three-peat and repeat, respectively.
Also, Fukunaga really, really deserved it for that episode of TD.

Yep. Orange is the New Black and Louie would have been so much more satisfying.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
I am happy that Modern Family won again. I'm still a huge fan.
Honestly, in a category with shows that can be overly quirky or borderline dramatic, Modern Family is consistently funny. I'm not taking that away from the show. It deserves it.
Ecstatic for BB so far. Please close out the night with the one that counts.
McConaughey looked crestfallen. Something tells me that kid will bounce back.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Ozymandias was too much of an unbeatable tape not even Matthew's momentum could stop it

I *love* Modern Family and am a defender of it when people bash it but...a FIFTH win? Really? OITNB was robbed.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Incredible. I cannot complain about this year's show. I know many will hate Modern Family's stranglehold but beyond Parson's win, I have few complaints. This was a great set of winners. Favorite victory may have been Sarah Silverman's for two reasons.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
As much as Breaking Bad deserved it, I feel True Detective's near-shutout can be attributed to that complete bumbling of category confusion. It would be swimming in awards tonight if it had been properly submitted as Miniseries, but someone got greedy and now McConaughey has to go home and cry to his Oscar and Golden Globe.

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Overjoyed at the Julianna Marguiles and Bryan Cranston/"Breaking Bad" wins. So glad "True Detective" was mostly shut out. It should have competed as a miniseries.

When was the last time a series won three acting awards in one night? Ever?

 Re: Emmy winners: running list
Honestly, I'm glad "Modern Family" won over something like "The Big Bang Theory." And the episode that won for Best Directing was HILARIOUS ("Las Vegas") and one of the best episodes they've done in years.

Magnus wrote: HBO got what it deserved for letting The Normal Heart get the Emmy over TD. They made their choice. The Normal Heart is in a different category. TD and The Normal Heart could have both won, if not for HBO's stupidity.
