Darren Aronofsky adapting Margaret Atwood for HBO

Quote:
Following the success of his Biblical epic, Noah, earlier this year, Darren Aronofsky is looking to bring his next project to the small screen. Deadline reports that the Requiem for a Dream helmer has plans to executive produce an HBO miniseries adaptation of Margaret Atwood's "MaddAddam" trilogy and is potentially planning to direct as well.
Published in 2003, the "speculative fiction" trilogy began with "Oryx and Crake." It was followed by "The Year of the Flood" in 2009 and "MaddAddam" in 2013.
Aronofsky will produce through his Protozoa Pictures alongside Brandi-Ann Milbradt and Ari Handel. Atwood herself is attached to serve as consulting producer.
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=119131This is neat news. I have only read Oryx and Crake, but it is a fantastic science-fiction novel which calls out for adaptation to a visual medium. I am eager to see how this project turns out.
