Thought I'd make this thread now since we have some new pickups.

NBC has picked up to series:
-Allegiance (spy drama)
-State of Affairs (CIA drama with Katherine Heigl)
-Odyssey (Traffic-esque action drama)
-Marry Me (Casey Wilson/Ken Marino sitcom from Happy Endings co-creator David Caspe)

Fox has picked up:
-Gotham (duh)
-Empire (hip-hop drama with Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson)
-Red Band Society (hospital coming of age drama with Octavia Spencer)

The Katherine Heigl show is such a ripoff of "Scandal."

On the other hand, YAY for "Marry Me" (or as I've seen some bloggers call it "Happy Endings 2: Year of Penny").

I'm wondering what will be the major schedule change this year. Maybe Survivor goes to Sundays though it has been doing fine where it's at.

I also have a feeling the Thursday Night NBC Comedy block is done and Parks and Rec goes to say Tuesday (if they keep About a Boy in its current spot) and Community gets a final season on Fridays.

CBS won't move Survivor to Sundays. I highly doubt it, at least.

The chilling effect of The Blacklist's success on NBC's new dramas is kind of funny. Kind of like how everything that premiered in 2005 was a Lost ripoff. I just can't believe Katherine Heigl is already coming back to network TV. Girl really killed her own movie career quickly.

She chose horrible projects after 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth (which wasn't very good but still made money). It's kind of her own fault. I'd rather see her back on "Grey's" personally, though that will never happen.

"Allegiance" sounds like a ripoff of "The Americans" too by the way ;)

I heard great things about "Odyssey." Apparently that was NBC's favorite drama pilot this year.

Hoping for a "One Big Happy" pickup from NBC so all six "Happy Endings" cast members will be on TV again this fall :)

Also, unfortunately as long as "Big Bang" continues to dominate on Thursdays I don't see any comedy succeeding there on other networks. NBC might be wise to try another night.

Also, are there any surprise renewals we're expecting at this point? I have a decent feeling about "Trophy Wife" for some reason. I think it could make it. And "Hannibal" is definitely getting renewed.

Yeah I mean it has it's odds against it but I feel ABC is hoping for Trophy Wife to get a second season or else they wouldn't have kept it on at its current ratings. I hope it gets The Neighbors Friday slot. It would actually work well with Last Man Standing. I just hope it gets another season because it's such an adorable little show.

Yep, agree on 'Allegiance'. Going from the synopsis on 'State of Affairs', sounds like it will be excruciating to watch/sit through.

I like the idea of pairing Casey Wilson and Ken Marino together. I can't imagine NBC sticks with the Thursday comedy block for another year though. It's been such a disaster since Office and 30 Rock ended. They need to put a genresoap on at 8.

I liked Barry Allen's arc on "Arrow" so I'll definitely watch "The Flash."

Also excited for "iZombie" (Rob Thomas!)

He's in the movie that was made in 2005 but he won't be in the series.

Also, all these NBC dramas are causing me serious anxiety about the fate of Parenthood.

I despise the name of the show but I highly approve of a new show with Karen Gillan!
