Easily you know my answer

but X-files and Twin Peaks were innovative and fresh when they were first released at their premieres so they both rank 2 for me expecially the former. I got into Sopranos very late like in the mid 2000s so I wasn't able to enjoy its fresh approach.

The Shield for me now, though I have yet to see many more.

My Top 5 would be:

1. The Shield
2. Breaking Bad (could move up after the final episodes)
3. Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes (impossible to separate)
4. The X-Files
5. 24

Note, have yet to see (or to see enough of): Homeland, Dexter, The Wire, The Sopranos, The West Wing, Game of Thrones, Friday Night Lights, Six Feet Under, Mad Men...

Yeah Life on MArs is definately up there for me

My list is probably like this

1. Game of Thrones
2. X-files
3. Tales From the Crypt
4. Twin Peaks
5. Rome
6. Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes
7. Deadwood
8. 24
9. Breaking Bad
10 would maybe be Dexter if we discount season 5 and so on.

Six Feet Under is such an amazing series. I know it never reached the level of extreme popularity other series listed above did, but if you went on the twisting and turning journey with the Fisher family over the course of the series' run, it truly developed into a beautiful and unique television experience with an ending almost too powerful to describe.

BSG was my favorite show going into the final season, and then I couldn't even finish it. It was bruutal.

I assume Starbuck was the final cylon? Not that it mattered, her death was one of biggest and balliest moments of any show. Shouldn't have reversed that!


Anyways, Breaking Bad wins over The Wire for me. I really love Rome, but there weren't enough episodes and the end of season two was so rushed because of that.

And I still haven't seen The Sopranos.

Gilmore Girls is a dramedy, so would it count? If so then Gilmore Girls. If not then Veronica Mars.

The X-Files has always been my favorite, followed by 24. Depending on the final season, Breaking Bad could end up number one.

Probably the saddest line in the entire series

BSG started going downhill during the second half of season 2. Season 3 sucked and season 4 was pure shit. The ending is cute though if you don't start thinking about it.
