I voted Jim and Pam... but my real answer would be Fry and Leela. |

The one I have the most investment in would have been Jim and Pam. Write-in answer: Niles and Daphne. Though it was always funnier before she found out about his feelings. |

Ted and Diane (Cheers) #2: Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper (The Wonder Years) |

I voted other - - gotta go with Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler - - it's nice to see something completely different. Plus, if it wasn't for the scenes developing their romance this season, the series would have jumped the shark altogether |

Riggs wrote: Sawyer & Juliet. THIS. Their scene at the finale is probably my favorite "reunion" scene ever. From the poll it's Ross and Rachel. "I got off the plane" line kills me. |

When I saw the question, I thought of my choice and then I saw Pam & Jim from the Office, which could be a good answer. But for anyone who has watched How I Met Your Mother, it is clearly Marshall & Lily. Why? Because except for a very small breakup, they have had the best relationship. Most of the other given choices, there were too many ups & downs. And in ending, if I met someone, I would want Marshall& Lily's relationship over all others. |

Jim and Pam have never broken up. |

Umm... Everyone dates other people before finally finding the person they're going to marry. And the only "problems" they had was a 2-3 episode arc, THIS SEASON. I'll take slight marital problems over breaking up like Lily and Marshall. (I have no idea why we're having this discussion) |

Pam was upset with Jim for more than 3 episodes. Lily left Marshall because she had wedding jitters. As she had only been with Marshall since college and the painting opportunity came up. Not that big a deal in a 15 year relationship. And almost what Pam did when she went to New York for art school. |

I love Lily and Marshall, but their break up was almost devastating for Marshall, not sure how you wouldn't call that a big deal, and this season much like Office for Pam and Jim this year, it seems like they are going to have a lot of problems the final season with Lily moving to Rome and Marshall taking a job in NY. As much as I like Marshall and Lily, their relationship is just so fake sometimes. Plus it's never really changed over 8 years other than the obvious progression of a married couple. Pam and Jim are much more real. Maybe it's just me, but relationships that are already established in shows tend to be weaker than the ones that grew over a show. The huxtables are probably the best example of a an iron clad relationship. |

Yes Marshall had it tough for a bunch of months, but that is a small part in a 15 year relationship. And Jim Pam also had 2 tough periods that I remember. Things happen. On the Huxtables, they didn't grow over time, as they always were strong. As you mentioned the Huxtables, I just thought of the Family Ties Keaton Parents as another choice for a Great TV Love Story. |

The best TV couple ever is Eric and Tami from "Friday Night Lights." In terms of a love story that develops over several seasons, I'd have to say Jim and Pam, though Chandler and Monica is a close second, and Juliet/Sawyer is close as well (as well as Jin/Sun). LOL at Sookie/Bill even being included. |

Weird list and I'm not sure you even know what you're asking. Take Sam and Diane: clearly by most measures the most notable relationship in television history, but it's not much of a LOVE STORY. You know how those two crazy kids ended up, right? |

ALSO, speaking of, you wrote "Ted and Diane" in the poll. It's Sam (aka TED Danson) and Diane, doofus |

I just tried to cover as many different genres as well. Ted is a fowl up though in the end he is just playing Ted Danson. Great love stories doesn't mean they end up together either. Next thread will be best sexual tension among shows. |

Niles and Daphne isn't the best ever but it's a good choice. I've been watching a lot of Frasier on Netflix recently and forgot just how wonderful David Hyde Pierce was on the show. |
