A lot of these noms are really, really terrific, but how do you snub Aaron Paul? Come on. |

To be fair, Aaron Paul didn't really have a standout scene last season. Same for Peter Dinklage this year. Then again, the three locks for supporting emmy locks like Mandy Patikon, and as mentioned Aaron Paul and Dinklage are missing from the list. Either way, happy for Nikolaj for getting a nod. He's probably going places with his movie and tv career plus being dashingly handsome. And geez, is Mad Men getting that big of a backlash? First it misses last years Golden Globe and now the Critics Choice. |

It's good to see 'Justified' getting recognized, it should've been nominated in the Drama category over 'The Americans'. El Murato wrote: And geez, is Mad Men getting that big of a backlash? Modern Family also only got 1 nomination here, for Sarah Hyland. I think it's vulnerable at the Emmys in terms of winning Best Comedy Series again. Which is funny, because this was the best season of the show since the first. But I feel like something else is going to swoop in there. Not sure what, though. |

Louie seems to have the highest acclaim of all the comedies but it really lack social media buzz and viewership to probably dethrone MF. God help us if Big Bang Theory wins, I hope not. |

Pretty cool that someone finally recognized Sarah Hyland on Modern Family. Though are these legit awards or just awards to make critics feel better about their favorite shows being snubbed by the Emmys? Also, no The Office at all? Boo. |

New Girl should be the show that comes in there and wins the Best Comedy award. I think it has a strong chance of being nominated and picking up several acting nods, I just don't know if it can actually win the award. Might be a bit too "young" for the Emmys. |

Mister Ecks wrote: Veep, maybe? That'd be a great choice. But it's a very mean-spirited and biting show, not sure that would sit well with a large enough contingent of voters to get the win. |

These are cool. Adam Pally and Casey Wilson? Hopefully USA decides to pick up this fantastic gem of a show. ![]() Carly Chaikin is brilliant on Suburgatory. Great to see her nominated. Vera Farmiga is amazing on Bates Motel. Also nice to see Bunheads get some attention for Sutton Foster (come on ABC Family and renew this!!!!!). Plenty to love here. |

I'm becoming increasingly convinced The Big Bang Theory is Modern Family's main challenger at the Emmys. I feel like it's just TOO popular to never win a Best Comedy Series Emmy, and this year feels as likely as any other. It was a fairly strong season creatively and they'll have good tapes, especially since the show's actors other than Jim Parsons have been getting more attention. I dunno. I like Kaley Cuoco on the show a lot but it's a tad bit odd she is submitting herself in Supporting Actress. I'd consider her lead, which is where I think she used to submit herself, and I dunno why she's competing against her female co-stars. So happy for Monica Potter again. Next stop, Emmys! |
