Okay, so I haven't really started consistently watching a new TV series in a while except for The Walking Dead. I have also recently purchased the first season of Game of Thrones, but I am seriously pondering reading the book first. So of the crop of the last two years or so...what else would you recomment me? For reference TV shows that I have really enjoyed (or still enjoy): The Shield Lost (Seasons 1-5) "24" True Blood Being Human (UK version) Spaced Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes South Park/The Simpsons The X-Files Damages |

I actually just started season 1 of Breaking Bad yesterday (omg!) and love it thus far, so I guess I'd recommend that. Homeland is also fabulous. |

Lecter, I believe you would highly enjoy The Hour, a '50s set British espionage/journalism drama with Ben Whishaw, Romola Garai, and Dominic West. |

As I mentioned in the other thread if you're a The Shield guy you should definitely pick the Wire. They're a good pairing in terms of tastes. And like 99% of people have the Wire ahead, even if it's Wire 1 and Shield 2 all time edit - Just realized you said last 2 years. I would go Homeland or Breaking Bad. |

Californication I tried...but it wasn't really my thing. I own the first three seasons of Dexter already. ![]() |

Hop on the USA bandwagon with Psych and Burn Notice Both are on Netflix instant. God I love instant, I just caught up on the entire 80s of SNL, some of it actually wasn't the trainwreck its always called. Though a lot of stuff is missing, most likely the really craptastic stuff. |

Netflix? You realize I live in Europe, right? Besides, I am already watching Burn Notice. |
