Adam Pally left The Mindy Project. Damon Wayans, Jr. left New Girl. Eliza Coupe's wonderful and underrated show,Benched got cancelled by USA. Casey Wilson's Marry Me (from the creator of Happy Endings)& Elisha Cuthbert's One Big Happy were cancelled by NBC last Friday. Today, Zachary Knighton's "Weird Loners" was cancelled by FOX. It seems like the whole cast is available for a Happy Endings reunion. I hope David Caspe will be on board with this. |

Since Eliza Coupe is in like everything now and has a previously existing relationship with Hulu maybe she could spearhead a revival  I won't give up hope! This would be a great fit for Hulu too.Watching the pilot episode again  Also I don't care if this is being bumped up again even if it isn't on the air anymore, it should be a WOKJ staple

I watched the entire first season again This getting picked up by Hulu gave it media coverage again too - it was on Deadline and EW and a ton of other entertainment websites. Anything helps! |

I was at the reunion and I really expected them to make an announcement of some sort about it coming back since Hulu was sponsoring the event and it was kind of the centerpiece of Vulture Festival (where it took place) - it sold out in about two minutes when tickets went on sale. Was disappointed they didn't, but they do all seem down. Of the cast though Damon Wayans Jr. couldn't have been less interested on the panel - Casey, Adam, Elisha and David Caspe did almost all of the talking and Damon probably said about 10 words. It was mostly all of them joking around and talking about their favorite episodes and offering up behind the scenes production tidbits. It lasted about an hour and a half. The best was the reveal that "ah-mah-zing" was improvised by Casey on the fly because it was in the script as just 'amazing.' And there was a lot of Amanda Peet shade - in addition to Zachary talking about how she was a fan and then passed when she got an offer to be on it Casey mentioned she'd also been approached by Amanda Peet at the gym. Also, NONE of them remembered who Grant (James Wolk) was - the audience had to remind them when they were asked about his character. I feel like something will happen eventually. Adam's pilot got picked up by FOX and Eliza is doing a show for Hulu, but the rest are mostly available (Elisha is on "The Ranch" but is just recurring, and Casey's pilot for ABC this season was passed over). Damon passed on every pilot that was offered to him this season and he's probably the most in demand of the cast members. |
