Post Celebrity (Joke) Apprentice Finale
Annie Duke vs Joan Rivers

Now, I've been watching this show the past few weeks because I was really enjoying the whole thing. The Joan v Clint, Joan v Annie and the Dennis sideshow. Tonight was the finale and it had to do with a Kodak silent auction event that each of the PMs had to set up, design, everything.

I'm gonna skip to the end because it's pretty frustrating to me how Annie lost this so called event. She consistently raised more for charity during the show, won more times versus Joan and handled herself more professionally every single time against Joan and yet the phony Donald Trump looks Annie in the eyes and says "You're Fired." I just don't understand that decision.

Now, I can understand that even Joan's inclusion in the finals was a pure setup because she even lost the previous event versus Annie and still got in for tv ratings. I'm 100% positive. Joan was really two faced in this competition. She was berating teammates, vicious name calling and put downs left and right. I do think she performed well in tasks throughout the show, but in every single area Annie was better in. So, they come with this ending where they are judging the event from 5 metrics, not just fundraising which Annie blew Joan away in that department and yet Annie still loses just because of one event in which I would have classified a draw even when they claim Joan won 3 metrics to Annie's 2.

Anyway, feel free to call me crazy for watching this dumb show, but I've watched Annie Duke play poker many times on tv so I was kind of drawn to it and now am just pretty flabbergasted that she was fired and lost to a two faced old person. (Also, I really did like Joan on the show when she was being funny but when she turns bitch it's with a capital B, maybe all Caps. idk)

I watched the show for a good chunk of time before the NBA/NHL playoffs began to take over.

It's very simple as to why Trump picked Joan. He loves her. He kissed her ass whenever he got the chance. Maybe it was because she was the only actual "celebrity" on the show. If this Apprentice were going by the rules of the first set of shows that'd be one thing. But it's pretty much a popularity contest now. No one knows who the hell Annie Duke is.

I'd agree that Donald loves Joan. Apparently he's very connected to her charity and he pretty much allowed her to do whatever the heck she wanted throughout the show without bashing her much.

The show itself is about raising money for charity and Annie blew Joan away in that department. Speaking of the celebrity idea, if Annie wasn't a "celebrity" she wouldn't have been on the show. Celebrity isn't just an entertainer because Hershel Walker certainly isn't an entertainer and he was on the show.

Oh well, I've been reading the forums on nbc just after the debacle and I think Donald made the right choice in that it keeps his show on the entertainment pages because the choice was absolutely ridiculous. This is like 80/20 type level here imo. Hopefully, I don't bother with another season of this after tonight. Maybe if they go back to non celebs I'll tune in again.

I hated Annie. Glad Joan won, even if Annie probably should have won - slighty.

She's not a celebrity. She's a professional poker player who's hardly known outside of the world of ESPN. 70% of the people who have appeared on the show could hardly be called celebrities. Last year the only "real" celebrities on the show were Gene Simmons, Marliu Henner, Vincent Pastore, and Stephen Baldwin. That's because not too many well off celebrities will go on the show.....since they have careers and stuff. That's why all of the people who have come on have been on the downside of their career's (see above, Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Green, Dennis Rodman, etc. Actually the only person who isn't on the downside who's shown up is Jesse James, but still.....) Trump's just trying to go after the most popular people he can get. He knows "real" celebrities won't go on his show so he goes after the C/D listers.

Joan argued her case very well. Annie was a two-face bitch. So she raised more money. Who cares?! that's all she was good at. Joan was a more well-rounded contestant. And she's fierce.

I'm glad Joan earned 250k+ for her charity but Annie was the deserving "winner". I was so disgusted as a viewer with Joan's phony act of being selfless and compassionate when talking about her charity but then beating Annie with a stick of endless attacks in the board room. Even Melissa wasn't that dastardly.
