The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
Man, what a title.
I saw my first commercial for it tonight during BB10, so that means it's time for a thread! Whoooo! *Flashes bewbies* Now where's my GGW shirt?
Anyway, high definition! Sept. 18th.

It's been too long since Survivor.
And it's been way too long since The Amazing Race.

Apparently it has been pushed back to Sept. 25th, and will be 2 hours.

Have they announced the tribes yet? If I am not mistaken weren't they announced prior to airing for China and Micronesia?

Survivor wooo
I hope this is a good season. Last season actually kind of was as it went on, although as much as she grew on me from her previous season, Parvati was certainly not my favorite winner ever. Cirie got robbed so badly.

Charlie wants to suck Marcus' penis so badly.
I hated seeing Michelle go first. I liked her.

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
I really like the Marcus/Charlie/Jacquie/Corrine alliance. I hope they go far.
Fang has to be one of the worst tribes in Survivor history. The tribe is full of idiots. Voting out Michelle first was a stupid decision because had they not they might have won the second immunity challenge. Glad they voted out Gillian. She was annoying. They only people I like on Fang are Ken and Crystal.
I like everyone on Kota so far except Ace.
Is it just me or does Charlie look a lot like Todd from the China season?

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
It was a good premiere. Not good as China and Micronesia, but good anyway. Too much focus on the sucky Fang tribe that managed to present itself in two episodes as the stupidest tribe in quite some time.
What a riot at Exile Island. Dan digging every little part where he found sand... Does he know what a crater is? Just the sound of it gives away that's it's something bigger. Or looking underwater... WTF?!?!?! It said over the lake you clearly see... It didn't help him saying how smart he is and ow he can crack the puzzle. LOL.
Michelle looked like a good player. Too bad she was voted out. She was the only one who realized she was stuck with idiots. Luckily there are evidences of brain matter among them because Gillian was voted second.
Kota tribe is good. The foursome is nice. That gay guy so wants the other one in the foursome and even though he said he was straight, all that onion and inner circle and gay guy being in the middle talk seemed like he wouldn't mind having something with a gay guy. First gay romance on Survivor? BTW were there any lesbians on the show? Can't remember any.
And OMFG ROFL at that Olympic winner. WTF? She can't climb up the hill. She forgot some steroids it seems. She couldn't even run.

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
Finally finished the two-hour premiere.
First of all, Gabon is gorgeous. It's nice to see this type of setting on Survivor again.
Second of all, the Fang tribe sucks. A lot. They bring back vibes of past tribes who sucked badly at the beginning/throughout. My favorite from them so far is Crystal. I was glad they booted Michelle (who got on my nerves with her negativity, even though she was physically capable so it was dumb to get rid of her) and Gillian (who got on my nerves just because).
It's too early to say much about the Kota tribe, other than that they are a skilled (and also rather pretty) team. I think my early favorite is Bob the Physics Teacher.

Ace is my favourite player thus far (obviously). That's unfortunate... Fans vs. Favorites was the best Season IMO.

My favorite season in recent memory was Cook Islands (aka the "infamous" one where they split the tribes by races at the beginning). The one where Yul won. Looooooved that season.

Parvati, Amanda, Cirie, James, Ozzy, Eliza, Ami, Jonathan, Yau Man As roo said, the season wasn't memorable for its winner (Parvati, meh), as much as the crazy amount of shocking exits and blindsides every week.

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
I just finished watching the season premiere and while its still early Fang may rival Ulong as the worst tribe ever on Survivor. It seems that no one is thinking ahead on Fang and trying to form an alliance. There doesn't appear to have been any alliances formed on Fang just seven individuals making it up as they go along. In fact Randy appears to be the only one actually thinking on Fang. I can't believe there were people considering voting out Dan on the flimsiest of evidence while keeping weak as water Gillian after Fang lost three in a row.

No wonder the premiere was two hours. Fang needed two hours to right (Gillian) a wrong (Michelle).
Randy's clearly a thinker. If he survives the awful tribe, he might go places in a merge. Too bad he's a bit of an unlikeable grump.

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
Well. I guess Fang isn't the next Ulong if they managed to win back-to-back challenges. Oh, how I love the wrestling challenges on this show. My favorite.
I was actually impressed with Sugar for finding the idol. She didn't really seem like she...had a lot going on upstairs...before, so. That's cool. It kind of sucks she's allied with Ace, but she could be one to watch.
I was disappointed they got rid of Paloma, who was surprisingly spunky. Ace is a tool and I want to not have him on the show anymore; I'm with Corinne, I think his British accent is totally fake (it comes and goes every other sentence; accents don't do that?)

I'm a little disappointed that the Kota tribe got rid of the likable Paloma. Hopefully, Ace goes next.

Re: The "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden" Thread
Yeah I was hoping Ace was the one they will vote out. It's better for the tribe that he stayed - he's pretty strong, but he's annoying.
A boring episode. And yeah I didn't expect Sugar to find the idol too. That was a pleasant surprise. But they seem to hide it worse every year.
And also - she got a map for the crater? Did the lawyer get a map? He's stupid like hell if he had a map, yet decided to dig up every little piece of sand he could find.
