 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
Finally caught up on the Office. A BIG turnaround from the beginning of the season. Loved the Michael Scott Paper Company storyline. I'm so glad the show has finally put its focus back on business, where its comedy was always best at.
Oh, to Grill, Charles didn't tell David about Michael being broke because he thought Dwight was crazy like he was in the meeting.

Last nights Office was great. The Kevin cookie bit was classic. I think the series has finally started to return to form.

Office was great last night. The opening with Dwight paying the new secretary to scream out she won an art contest was hilarious!
30 Rock was just as awesome. It deserves its 3rd win. I just read Sheryl Crow is gonna be on the finale. OMG can't wait!!!!

That was like the lamest finale for The Office.

I liked it. There wasn't anything truly memorable until the end, but I liked the volleyball game. The ending made the episode though. Krasinski played that last scene perfectly.
As for 30 Rock the finale was hardly worthwhile. Maybe if they had built up the relationship between Milton and Jack over the course of a few weeks I could've cared about the cliffhanger, but they didn't so I didn't.

I liked it. It was completely low-key but enjoyable.
As far as finales go I think way too many shows OD on the idea of a BIG SHOCKING TWIST FINALE WHO WILL DIE?!??!? so the fact that everything was still just quietly returning to normal after the Michael Scott Paper Co arc was fine with me. I laughed a bunch of times and I thought Krasinski and Fisher did a great job with the last scene, especially Krasinski.

I laughed a bunch of times and I thought Krasinski and Fisher did a great job with the last scene, especially Krasinski. I'm totally with you on the "why do all finales have to be life-changing, series-altering episodes" but this was at best an average Office episode and I think it'd be a stretch to call it that given the average episodes of seasons 2/3. I think Cafe Disco would have made a really great finale and honestly, the Jim/Pam reveal at the end was more of a season premiere reveal than a finale. I did like the premise, I just thought they could have done way more with it, especially the volleyball game. 30 Rock was great on the other hand. Now that one felt like an average episode. It wasn't anywhere near a season best but it was more fitting than The Office. Anyone else think the "TGS has 2 years left in it, max" line was an inside joke ala last season of Arrested Development?

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
30 Rock took a nose dive, for me at least.
There were so many good concepts this season...like Liz attending her reunion, "the bubble," the flu shot, the company retreat, etc.
There was "El Generalisimo"...etc.
This was sort-of meh and forced.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I caught up on the last 7-8 episodes I missed of The Office (I was getting slightly bored with it in the middle of the season), and I actually really liked it. The stuff with the Michael Scott Paper Company was pretty funny, and I liked the finale a lot.
30 Rock's finale...meh.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
There were some dark times in America if 30 Rock was the best comedy show. I mean, it is not bad of course, but hardly worthy of praise here. I liked The Office much more.
